Refillable mugs at any resort?

Can the refillable mugs be used at any resort or just the one where it was purchased?

I had read on a recent thread that there is a new Year Of A Million Dreams mug that is the same at every resort (although not every resort may have it yet). If it's all the same mug- I'm guessing you could use it at all the resorts. Someone also posted about a new wording on the policy that doesn't specifically mention only one resort.

Still only good for that single trip though. This would only really help people splitting their stays between two resorts.

I've checked around and neither wdwinfo.com nor AllEars is reporting that, Karen. AllEars even says, specifically, "The mugs have the hotel logo on them and signs state that they are for use at that hotel for the duration of your visit."

I think-although I could be wrong, but we did it-that the All-Stars mugs are good for any of the three resorts. I think cos of the close proximity of the three that we are allowed to pool-hop and food court-hop between the three-certainly when I have been we have eaten at all three and used our ASMo mug with no bother.

I think you are correct. You can also use your POR mug at POFQ and vice-versa I believe

Yes, mugs are good at the resort they were purchased at and their sister resorts.

this is what the current mug says:

the exact wording is: "Free refills available at our resort beverage islands until the end of the stay in which the mug was purchased."

so the new mugs make no mention that it has to be the current resort (in fact, it pluralizes beverage islands), whereas the old ones did. just that it's good only for that stay.

It sounds like the new mugs will be perfect for families who do a split stay on one WDW visit.

This was the wording I was talking about, bicker. Allears isn't updated with the new generic mug information but does have a picture of the mug. There have been multple threads about this over on the Resort board recently. They all have 2007 on them so they are only good for that year.

I guess it helps stop those who come back year after year to use the same mug, and allows those splitting stays to only buy one mug. Although, it wouldn't stop those who take multiple trips a year from using it on multiple trips- but those were probably the people who were going to reuse their old mugs anyway.

There really is very little downside for Disney to allowing refillable mugs to be honored at all the resorts.
