refillable mugs- are they all the same now?

I was in Disney at the end of Jan beginning of Feb.

they were the mugs from last year minus the date.

They did sell various color handles so I don't think that was from last year. My guess is they sell the different color handles so families that buy multiple mugs can distinguish who's is who's.

They had the different colored handles last year--black, sliver and blue. It IS hard telling which mug belongs to who now (there are usually 5-6 of us together):sad2:

so it must just be the year then... because if they did the different handles last year...and they also had the different colored handles this year..:thumbsup2

I wish they'd go back to unique mugs. It was much cooler.

I completely agree!!!!! We have some resort specific mugs that are really showing some wear and tear and need to be replaced. Maybe after the second year of the YOAMD finishes they'll go back to resort specific. I hope.

There is an interesting very nosy subgroup on the dis. The "that kid is too old for that stroller/ is that a 2005 mug???/ show me your room key before you swim here, pal" subgroup is very obnoxious :rotfl2:

I don't buy mugs, i don't swim at other pools and I surely don't care that others do.

I don't think this is a fair generalization. The mug debate is probably based a lot less on morals and more on economics. I don't care, but I see the reasoning of those who do. If people don't buy mugs, it drives prices up as Disney tries to keep profits going. That effects the people who do buy them. Its the same reason people don't like shoplifting, its not a moral complaint, its the results it creates. Im not supporting the position, so I won't care what any response to it is, its just the position offered and calling someone obnoxious for having rational reasons isn't really fair or nice.

Ah yes, the tried and true theory of the great economic impact that mug vandals unleash on all the worldly do gooders. :worship: He was just trying to make light of yet another mug debate, nothing more--seemed pretty clear.:confused3 For Pete's sake, the OP asked if the mugs were different. Period. It gets a bit old seeing the same topics run into the ground over and over again and to not even be able to comment on something without people jumping in with lectures and trying to enforce their morals on others. Some people just choose to laugh about it and treat it like the joke it is.

Didn't Hillary and Obama get into it about mug vandals the other night???
:rotfl2: Mug vandals....I almost spit iced tea out of my nose!!! :lmao:
By the way, I admit it....we bring our mugs back. :rolleyes1

This is being closed since the OP has received their answer. This is not the place for a debate. There is a rule in place concerning the mugs.
