Because we are staying at the campground for 7 weeks this summer, I am going to purchase the refillable mugs for my family. I know they can only be used in the campground but I need to know where can you go to get them refilled. I know trails end refills them, but can you get them filled at the Chuckwagon? what about the concession stand at the pool? either of the trading post? Anyone know? Thanks.

At Trails End you can select coffee, or fountain cold drinks. At the Meadows Trading Post it's only coffee. No refills at the chuckwagon or the pool that I know of.

Yes they can also be refilled at the pool snack bar. Seven weeks WOW that sounds like fun!!!

Thanks NHcampers, I am excited to know you can refill them at the pool! We are checking in June 11 and staying until July 31. That is way too many days to spend in the park so the pool will probably be our local hangout. I have seen previous post and have admired your fifth wheel for a while now. We have always camped in our travel trailer with a bunkhouse but we are going to Lazy Days on the 19th of this month to pick up our new fifth wheel! I always refer to your picture for any questions I may have (do the bikes fit under the bedroom area, can the awning and slides all come out at the same time and so on). Plus we stayed for 3 weeks last summer and I was at the comfort station about 2 times a week washing clothes for us and it was a lot of money! I am happy to report the new camper comes equiped with a washer dryer also!!

mrsgus06,
I am so envious of your staying 7 weeks. Hopefully, we will be doing some extended stays at FW when I retire. We also have a fifth wheel and you will love it. There is so much room in them plus it's nice having the separate bedroom area. We have 3 slides on ours and all you do is push the button and they come out automatically one at a time. Once that's done, hubby starts with the awning. He has learned to connect all hoses, electric and cable before putting out the slides - eliminates crawling under them and ducking so you don't bump your head. Just an idea to throw out there. About the bikes, yes they do fit under the front of the unit which is great 'cause it keeps them out of the weather and it's just a place to get them out of the way. We were at Lazy Days acouple years ago and what a neat setup they have. Image having a campground connected to a sales facility. I believe they give you 2 or 3 nights free camping when you purchase your rig, don't they? Plus they have a super indoor pool with jacuzzi. Good luck with your purchase and have fun at FW.

rapriebe,

I am really excited about our stay and our new camper. I think the guy at Lazy Day's was feeling sorry for us and wanted to give us a good deal on the camper because we have 5 young kids. I think his words were, "I know it is hard with that many kids, money must be tight. However, camping is a family fun event and keeps everyone together" so they dropped the camper to half price, "But you will have to add the loan balance on your 2004 camper back to this one". Oh, o.k., did we fail to mention that our 2004 camper was already paid off? :rotfl2: Bad us. Anyway, the fifth wheel also has 3 slides and thank you for the heads up about hooking everything up first, hubby will greatly appreciate that! Our camper also has a feature we would only dream of but never expect to find... 1 1/2 baths. Now I don't have to fight 4 other females for the potty in the morning! :cheer2: We decided on 7 weeks because 1.) 3 weeks last summer still was not enough 2.) we would pay the same amount staying home and taking them different places all the time and 3.) it has been a long time since hubby has had a nice, quiet home to come to after work! He will go the first week, set up the camper and then come home. I have other camping friends that will come during the summer to stay with us (in their own campers) so it actually works out that I will be down there by myself with the kids for 5 nights. I can handle that. The really really best part is that 3 of the weeks my parents will be down there with their motorhome to help me! The kids still have 10 more school days left and then the countdown is on!!! :hourglass

mrsgus06,
We're going from July 2 - 31 this year - 4 weeks just like last year. 3 weeks the year before that, plus over Christmas! We're at a park nearly every day we're there and believe me, there's still not enough time to see everything that the world has to offer - it goes by that fast. It's too bad we don't know our sites beforehand, otherwise I'd extend an offer to meet and greet when we're there. Have a great time!

bgula,

I have requested the 1700 loop (we don't have pets, buy my parents do and I want to camp by them). I don't know if we will get it but my next choice will be the 1600 loop. We will be in an Everest 5th wheel. Parked in front will be our white club car and probably 7 bikes. I am kind of hard to miss :teeth: . I try to keep the site clean but I think it is my kids diabolical plot to see that I don't. If you see me, please stop by to say hi. My kids think it is a riot that they finally get to see who is on the other side of the computer! We were there over Easter week and I had the pleasure of meeting BigDisneyDaddy. I also know Campingcorgi. We will also be there Dec 27 to Jan 02 of this year! If you see a bunch of kids playing kickball down by the petting zoo, it is bound to be mine!

mrsgus06,

We've stayed in the 1600 loop every time we've been to FW (1608,1609,1612). I didn't like 1612 - too small and actually too many bushes nearby - made everything too damp and you couldn't get at anything around your camper. We've upgraded our camper from a 29' travel trailer to a 38' fifth-wheel (Terry Quantum AX6). I haven't decided whether to request along the 1600 loop again, or just let FW put us somewhere new to try. Only thing is I do want to be able to get a satellite signal and I know I can get that from the sites I've been in before. What a quandry!
We'll definitely look you up as we like to bike around the park looking at all the BIG rigs and wonder how people can afford them.
