Refillable mug question

Quick question: (I am not trying to "cheat the system" or get something I am not entitled too, so I thought I would ask what others thought or if anyone else has done this?) We ALWAYS get the refillable mug, because it is a good value for us. We (DD29 and I), usually end up walking back and forth to the food court for refills. I am wondering if it is frowned upon or not allowed to bring my Yeti and fill it up with refills of my mug? I know I have to wait 2-3 minutes between fill ups - I am fine with that. I just thought it would be nice to get one drink and take it back to the room for the evening (especially the night before a runDisney race!) without having to trek back and forth. Thanks!

I would say it would be frowned upon simply because CM's don't know that you didn't just buy one mug and are filling gallon containers to share with your extended family(not that you are, I'm guessing some CM's may have an issue). Never tried though.

as long as it goes in your refill mug first, they don't care if you pour it out, drink it, bathe in it...

The things you can use the mug on are all practically giveaway items (coffee and fountain soda cost the company literal fractions of pennies per serving) so I don't think they'd blink if you used your mug to refill and then poured it into a different container.

the system of having to wait 2-3 mins between refills is probably in part to prevent that kind of a thing from getting too far out of hand (ie people taking gallons at once to put in their rolling beverage dispenser to take to the parks to hydrate their family of 26 with soda or something) but if you're willing to wait that long for a refill or two - I agree no one cares what you do with the liquid in between. It's perfectly reasonable. Also I didn't find CMs watching what anyone was doing at the beverage station, just cleaning up the fallout every so often.

Definitely agree-doing something like that would be a "violation".

But what OP wants to do-take a couple of "Mug fills" and transfer them to a personal container for the OP's personal use is fine.:)

Thanks guys for the quick replies. It is just DD29 and I and we each buy a mug so it is just for personal consumption. :)

we were at ASSp in 2016, eating the the Food Court and my daughter (who knows nothing about how the mugs are supposed to be used) called my attention to a woman and her kids that was going to the soda machine every couple of minutes, filling her mug. going back the booth she was in and pouring it into a big jug and then repeating it over and over. My daughter said "hey is that allowed?"

Good for your daughter!:)

Another thing that really is awful are the Guests who don't buy a Mug and then bring their own cups and take advantage of the Coffee and Tea and Hot Chocolate dispensers not being RFID!

And it is fun to watch Guests try to use their own cups for the Fountain Drinks!lol:)
