Refillable Mug Question...

I tried searching for this but couldn't find what I need to know. A friend stayed at CBR a few years ago and bought the mugs. She told me that they were reillable for life and has no use for them anymore so she gave them to me the other day. They are teal and pink.

My question is this... We are on the dining plan and wouldn't use the mugs often, so we weren't going to pay to get them. Could we take these and just get a mug of coffee in the morning to take to the parks?

I'm pretty certain mugs are just for the length of your stay, not for life.

Most of the WDW Resorts have a "Refillable Mug" program in their food court area (aka Fast Food-Counter Service). You purchase a mug for around $12.49 and are entitled to "free" refills for the duration of your stay. The refills are available from the beverage dispensers and usually include: coffee, sodas, ice tea, and hot chocolate. No other purchase is required to get your mug or your refills.
The mugs used to have the hotel logo on them however they seem to be changing to the Year of a Million Dreams mugs. Also, a sign states that the mugs are for use at that hotel for the duration of your visit.

For an avid coffee or soda drinker, especially with the 'free' refills, you can't beat it.

In short...no. The mugs are only good for the purchaser's trip. This can be a hot topic....

They have new mugs now. The mugs were only good for the length of stay in which they were purchased.

Mugs USED to be good for life, so I can understand why people still use THOSE. However, the new current practice is that they are only good for the length of your stay. Seeing as they were not really mugs YOU purchased, I'd say buy a new set...they are prettier anyway.

i was surprised to find that where the handle is on the mugs it states that they are only usable during the stay of purchase. had not noticed that before but one of the threads mentioned it and sure enough.... i have also seen this become a VERY hot topic.
