We last cruised in 2004 do they still have them? If so, do you know if they are the same ones they sold in 2004 and does it still work the same way?
Where do you get this and how does it work? We cruised 2004 and 2005 and obviously did not research too good....didn't know this existed!
Do they still have the ESPN mugs?
When I cruised in May, 2007 on the Magic, all of the ESPN mugs had been replaced with the DCL mugs; therefore, my ESPN mug was quite the conversation piece! When I cruised in September, 2007 on the Wonder, surprisingly, there was a mix of both ESPN mugs and DCL mugs (my previous Wonder cruise in January, 2006 had only the DCL mugs).
In short, the ESPN mugs are becoming the rarity and will likely be extinct sooner rather than later since the ESPN Skybox - their inspiration - became The Stack and Aloft, but the mugs still exist on the Wonder.
If you want to keep yours (and not exchange it for a clean DCL mug) when you refill, simply tell the bartender/server and he/she will wash it out.
I have used the same ESPN mug since my first 4-day cruise on the Magic (yes, the Magic) in 1999.
What is the price for the mug and then refills? How does it compare to regular price?
This is the first I hear of these mugs. We are cruising in a month and my DH and DSS will love these! How much are they and how does it work?

Silly boy! So now, he either has to buy a new one (it was a cost saver for a big beer drinker) or just not get one at all.
I don't know what the current pricing is, but it's been pretty consistent over the years. It is a 22 oz. mug. The first beer is $12 and you get to keep the mug. Subsequent refills are around $3.75, the price of a 16 oz. size.
It's actually quite a good deal, particularly if you bring it back on subsequent cruises. Once you make the initial investment, you are getting the equivalent of nearly two draft beers for less than $4.00.
Again, prices may have changed, but this is my recollection from my last cruise on the Wonder in September, 2007.
The refills were more $$$ in Rockin Bar D than at Signals...
