Refill Mugs w/Dining Plan on a Split Stay

Hi doing our 1st split stay this trip and coincidently it will be our 1st trip since they installed the chips into the mugs for length of stay.

We are on the dining plan (so we get mugs with it, correct?), but b/c of the split stay we had to buy 2 separate dining packages. So I assume we would each be getting a second set of mugs.

I guess it is also safe to assume that the mugs we got from the 1st leg of the trip will not work on the 2nd leg.

just clarifying, really don't need to lug 2x the number of mugs around. We are not soda drinkers, but if by the pool it would be nice to have a backup drink handy, esp with the heat this summer

I think the chip just has a start date and it's good for 14 days, so you can use one mug for the whole time. You will get the mug for the second portion but I guess you could refuse it or leave it packed up or give it away

If you are staying less then 14 days the "length of stay" mugs work for that long. On your first day the receipt wills say something like mug activated until xxx. If that date is past your second stay no need to get the mugs.

You can simply not pick up the second mugs if all works fine. Also nothing says you can't pick up the mugs later so if you continue using the 1st stays mug and then they suddenly stop working you can go up to the register CM and just grab a new mug and activate the 2nd stays mug at that time. They don't force you to take the mug and they aren't like in the room or anything like that.

No you have to go to the quick service location of your resort to pick up and activate the mug. At most resorts this is close to the check in so not a big deal. There is one exception and that is Beach/Yacht club. If you are staying at the Yacht club you can pick up your mug at Beach Club Marketplace. You also may be able to pick it up at the pool bar but not 100% sure on that.
