Referral not given?

My nephew recently bought into DVC, and told them it was as a direct referral from us. When we heard nothing (they have closed already) we called our guide and asked. When he looked up my nephews name, he said there was a mention that his aunt and uncle referred him, but that was it. Anyone know if this can be rectified now?

The first question is whether your state permits DVC to give a referral reward. My state, CT, does not allow us to be given the referrals. If your nephew is from another state than you, you might need to check that state as well.

If it's that he said "aunt & uncle" vs. actually giving your names, that should be easy to correct.

There is one other possible block -- if your nephew ever took a tour, requested information, talked to someone at a kiosk, etc. prior to giving your name as the person who referred him, then DVC does not reward you. They base it on the first point of contact the purchaser ever had with DVC, whether they bought then or not.

Thanks for that info--I'm not sure about the states.

But I do know that my own rep said that on my nephew's FIRST contact, he indicated that we had referred him.

My guide did state that Louisiana is eligible for referrals, so I would check further into it.
