Referral fee

A friend of mine bought DVC while on cruise last June and put my name as referral, she said i'm suppose to get $200 referral fee, so far i haven't got anything yet, can I call Member Services to follow up? We'll be cruising with DCL in November and i'm hoping to get my disney dollars before then. Thanks!

I would call your guide & ask. We had a referral & had to call to get things moving. It took a few phone calls, but we finaly got our $200 (put it towards our dues)

The referral will not come out until your friends actually close. Have they closed the contract. Are you in a state that is eligible for the referrals?

How long did it take for you to get your $200? My friend bought last June, so i'm guessing she closed by end of July.

The process for us ended up taking about 6 months, which was a bit longer than normal.

California does allow referral awards so you are all set there. You will receive the redemption letter about 6 weeks after the sale is completed. Once you complete that and return it, it takes them up to another 6 weeks to process it.

We had a glitch hence, the 6 months for us instead of about 3 months which is normal.

Hi Carol,

I guess i have to wait for that redemption letter, is that something that'll say what rewards i want to get? disney dollars, towards my dues etc.?
I just hope i get it soon, so i can use it for our upcoming cruise in NOV.
