Reference number wrong date?

Tried to link up to MDE to book ADRs and it says we're going in May not August :( phoned disney they said that reference is correct and it says May. Phoned Thomsons and they say were booked for August they've even phoned the hotel and it says August. Can't book any ADRs or. BBB , has anyone else had this problem? :worried:
 
I'm not sure if I understand - are you going in August? Or are you going in May?

ETA: Ignore that. The ticker wasn't showing first time I opened the thread but I can see it now.

I have never heard of this before. How strange (and worrying). If you are going in August and Disney thinks it's May, why won't it let you make ADR's now? or is it lack of availability?
 
They will let us make the ADRs but they will be for May:rotfl2: hopefully they will get back to us soon, I just hope I don't miss the ADRs I want :worried:
 
I know MDE has been glitchy with time/daylight savings issues but most of us have been able to live with an hour. Not 3 months :eek:

So you're booked for August, your ADR window should open about now, but because it says you are going in May, you can't? There must be something wrong with the reference number on the Thomson side. Surely?
 

Thomson are annoying me, at first they said their is nothing for them to fix and to phone Disney. Erm isn't that why were paying them 11K for a holiday!! However we phoned Disney and they said Thomson would have to phone them.Thomson said they would phone us definitely on the Monday (no call yesterday) phoned this morning and they said they would get back to me today. I confirmed the reference number with them they said its right. Hubby's wanting to send a big formal complaint in, I just want it sorted :worried::(
 
Here's a thought. I know you want to access the +10 onsite privileges, but in the meantime, can you start making your ADR's one at a time without doing it through your MDE account? You can always link them with the confirmation number later.

Yes, just call them. When was your 180 day window? YOu should be able to make from the day (when you should have been able to) up to and including today.

Use the Disney UK 0800 number and follow the prompts
I think it's option 4 but might be 3 - Don't recall offhand
 
Thomson has just said its because MDE IS not up and running properly till the 27th of Feb, are they just fobbing me off? Starting to worry now, not just about the ADR's :(

Sorry, I had to leave for a meeting and it's been a long day so only just seen this. No, they are talking tosh.
 
Total rubbish... Looks like Thomson have messed up maybe, I'd be on there case in the morning !!! £11k I'd be screwing now looks like they really messing you about !
 
I would be really worried if I were you and would also be threatening to cancel if no one organises it to be fixed for you.

I really hope you get it sorted soon.

I did not trust Thomson to be honest very much anymore as we paid them £7000 for just the wedding part of our disney wedding and they screwed the whole thing up by actually not booking the wedding! So 2wks before the wedding after my dh got back from afghan we called to discuss final plans as was told no wedding was even booked!

We actually 5 years on are still taking legal action against them, for many reasons.
My wedding was ruined, and we are now in the process of re-booking and doing our wedding.

So I would go into the store and insist they call disney with you right there! That's what I did.

We spent £23,000 with them am they screwed up so bad, oh and even left me off the travel insurance only realised when I ended up in hospital on our last day.
 
Unfortunately for Thomson, here on the DIS, you are in a community with collectively a lot more knowledge of the Disney empire, than themselves ::yes::

I should get back in touch with Thomson ASAP
Ask to speak to a Manager and request their contact details (Name, location, department etc)
Advise them that THEY should contact Disney on your behalf, since your contract is with TUI
Mention also that you have been in contact with lots of people who have already used the new Disney booking system with success and assure them that MDE is definitely operational for U.K.
(I have just finished booking 18 ADR's for August, some for 13 persons, using MDE, with no problem)
Request a formal response within a reasonable time (say 24 hours)
If they still cannot sort it, advise them that you will move it up the ladder on their behalf, to the MD of TUI in an effort to highlight the unacceptable customer service and possibly to pursue compensation. :goodvibes

Contact Thomson ASAP! I traveled with them to disney the past 5 years but they messed up this time. They changed our booked date to September when we booked for July. They was saying I booked it wrong but my booking paperwork confirmed I was correct.

In the end I contacted a law company who contacted Thomson and I got a letter a few days latter with a deposit refund and £200 on top. I'm now booked with Disney going the correct dates I wanted for a lower price. Hope Thomson sort them self out as I loved traveling with them but i won't rush to book with them for a while. Hope you sort things out.
 
Well phoned Thomson this morning (the contact who I have been dealing with is off) yet again she tried to say it's the app, I got annoyed passed the phoned to my husband. He told her it's not the app it's the reference number, she said she's going to do some phoning around and get back to us :confused3:confused3
 
Can I suggest you follow up all calls with an e mail logging what you have been told and by who.

In terms of the correct ref number. When I booked via Disney UK the MDE page only had my normal UK booking reference for 72 hours and I couldn't do anything, but then it self generated the reference number I actually needed. So do check your system hasn't also updated itself.
 
Well I've emailed them with a full timeline of what has happened hopefully I will hear back soon, thanks everyone :)
