I was reading the allears newsletter last night, and their was a review on AK with a breif mention of dining certificates - the impression I got was that these are NOT the same as the Q&C's or MYW dining. Unfortunately the article did not explain what they are, how to get them, etc. Anyone have more info on this?

Hi!!! Go to Dining, then menus on that sight. Click on any CS in AK. At the bottom of the menu it gives you details. If I remember correctly it is $11.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids. You get one CS meal plus a drink and a coupon to use for a water or soda and a coupon for popcorn or an ice cream bar that you can redeem at any time. You can purchase them at GR or at any of the participating restaurants. It is only a good deal if you will use the coupons and buy an expensive meal. Have Fun!!!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

We used it last year and it was a really good value. We had lunch and then the snacks just before leaving the park.

Great post, DisneycrazedX6, but wanted to mention that the Animal Kingdom meal vouchers/coupons can only be redeemed on the date of purchase.

We love these & think they're one of the best deals at WDW. Also, the drink coupons are redeemable for bottled water or soda, which can be carried back to your room to enjoy later :drinking: . (Those Mickey Bars just don't travel as well :mickeybar .)

agnes!

I is really not at all true that these are only a good deal if you use them on an expensive meal- look at the prices, it is almost always a savings on the things my family likes. Another great savings with these is to buy a child's one and use it for pizza (the kids meal pizza is the same as the adult pizza). We like to redeam our drink or ice cream tickets when we watch Flights of Wonder, mid afternoon. It makes a great break.

Also it does say it needs to be used the same day, but we once left early due to a down pour and were able to use them the next day with no questions asked.

This is my favorite deal in WDW, well second favorite (my absolute favorite is the Taste of Africa tour at AKL, which is free and the feed you). I wish they would offer it in more of the parks...

i STILL can't find how these work :bitelip:
(tried the directions above, but just got reviews)

can anyone help pul-ease??? :flower:

You purchase the meal deal at a counter service restaurant in AK such at Tusker House, Flame Tree BBQ etc. They are advertised right at the register. (at least I know for sure they are at Tusker House) You tell the cashier you want the meal deal, order your meal and drink from the menu and they remove that ticket stub off of one side of the meal deal ticket. They then give you the rest of the stub with 2 tickets left attached, one for a drink (either a soda or water) and one for a treat (either popcorn or an ice cream treat) to use at a counter service or vendor cart later in the day when ever you choose. We thought it was a really great deal in Dec. when we went. I was able to share a kids deal with my 5yr old so it was a great savings to us.
