Reese Hitches

I was trolling through ebay and noticed several people selling the Reese Pro Series hitch. This looks a lot like an Equalizer, though there are some differences. Do anyone know how this compares to the Reese weight distributing hitch coupled with the dual cams for sway control? I still need to get a better sway system than my friction bar.

I'm not familiar with the new Reese Pro Series. But I used to have a Reese with dual cam sway control. Pretty good hitch.

But we just bought a new TT yesterday and on the 60 mile trip home, our new Equalizer felt extremely stable. I think I'll like it on those long "to the Fort" trips. If the Pro Series is a similar setup, it might be a good buy.

I google it an it appears what Reese calls their Pro Series is just a WDH with the normal friction bar sway control.

I have the dual cam setup, once its adjusted properly its very simple to hook up and works much better than a friction controller.

I gotta give the huge thumbs up for the dual cams! With my car trailers and my TT's I have had a lot of hitches, and NONE compare to the dual cam! You will never regret it once you get over paying that much...

The Pro Series combines the WD bars with the friction method of sway control, it doesn't have the traditional friction bar itself. It looks as if it uses friction at the end points, where Reese uses chains and the Equalizer uses attachment points. From the description it has 6 different friction points instead of one, which is what I currently have.

That was what I was asking, if this approach is as effective as the other two. It's significantly less expensive.
