Hi There, Just read on another site that they are taking down the themeing of Brother Bear in Redwood Creek, also heard that it is a possible rumor that they might be doing an UP theme, just curiuos if anyone knows if this is true, and also when it is set to be complete? Thank you in advance.:goodvibes

We went to WDW last year, and missed the UP character meet and greet....we would LOVE to meet Doug!

I also read this in an article posted by another disney forum. I hope it's true! I LOVE Up! I've walked pass Redwood Creek Trail (or what ever the actual name of it is) and have never been remotely interested in it but if it was rethemed to Up! it would definately become a "must do" attraction for me.

This was one of the highlights of my kids experience at Disney..but Up would be fun!

I read Redwood Creek Challenge closed while they did work next to it building the Little Mermaid Building. That was a rumor as to why it closed.

Then later the rumor became close to remove the old Brother Bear themeing.

Then later to put Up in Brother Bears place.

Also heard it would be strictly a "National Park" theme.

Still can find Brother Bear at the entrance.

There's this totem of the bears, isn't it?

Yes, and there was a sign above the entrance that said Brother Bear on it.

Saw the totem in a recent photo not sure about the sign.

We were at the Redwood Creek area on the 31st March and met the Brother Bear Characters and the kids loved the Brother Bear Cave where they could find their totum animal etc. My kids loved this area and we saw no sign of re-themeing to UP. Although UP is a great movie, it would be sad to replace the Brother Bear theme. :goodvibes

My kids love it there too, they get to run around and chill out a bit.

This area has the very best ambient music in the parks! It's wonderful to find a quiet place back in there and relax. I wouldn't mind losing "Brother Bear" but leave the music alone!

We were there a week ago today and my kids LOVED the trail! I asked a cast member about the area that was roped off near the front of the area (like a small ampitheater) and he told me that UP will be replacing the show/meet and greet that is currently there.

I won't miss the Brother Bear trail if it's gone.

The Brother Bear trail is one attraction that appears to be more often closed as it is opened. There's aways a guy standing in front and the area is roped off almost everytime we walk by. It's not open early and I think it's closed at dusk too.

Because it looks closed most of the time and the fact that this is located along the path to higher profile attractions like TSMM, WOC, AG, we have always walked right by it without any hesitation to stop and see.

I love the Redwood Creek Trail. My little ones love the chance to run around, go down slides and climb. I hope they don't change it. My little boy was so in love with those bears. It was seriously one of the highlights of our trip. I'll be sad if it changes.

Don't you have to go through turnstiles or something like that to get in? Because they're in a pretty solid fence they're kind of easy to overlook. I can remember the guy actually opened the rope for me when I was on crutches...

Ummmm HUH? It's never closed when we go by, even at dusk it's been open. The girls love this area, I hope they don't change it.

No turnstiles, just openings but yes, if you've got a stroller or wheelchair you will need the CM to open the rope that they stand in front of. :)

Thanks pixiewings. I just remembered something I couldn't quite squeeze through. ;)

I am guessing the fence combined with the rope may give the impression that it's closed if you don't look too closely. :confused3

We'll have to try it for the first time on our coming trip

Don't ask me why, but have always skipped it. :confused3

Maybe, but the CM's are always waving people in and indicating the openings for people to go in....and there are almost always tons of people sitting on the benches just as you enter, that's what we do, find a bench and sit down while the girlies run around like crazy. :)

If they do away with the Brother Bear part of it, you can always see them at the GCH. The character breakfast there at Storytellers often have them. My kids love that meal! Great character interaction!

That's good to know. I'll keep that in mind if they do change it.
