Reducing walking and waits?

I have been reading a lot about theme park strategies but most of them have you crisscrossing the parks. Is there anyway to avoid extra walking and still see attractions with low wait times? Also do any of the touring plan sites let you put in your ADR's and create plans for you around them?

Thanks

Definately getting to the parks by rope drop or taking advantage of the late EMH's will help. I find more people use the early EMH's than the night ones. Usually people don't like to stay late after touring all day. This way you can do it "land" by land.

The reason the plans have you criss crossing is to take advantage of the FP system for the major attractions. These attractions are spread out all over the park.

We usually take it land by land. So we'll go to say fantasyland and grab a FP for Peter pan and while waiting we'll see it's a small world, dumbo, then go back depending on the time you can play it right and get a 2nd FP for say mickey's philharmagic. Then use your FP for PP, ride snow white, then depending on the time you can get another FP for Pooh, Then use your FP for philharmagic, then ride the teacups and play at pooh's playful spot while waiting for FP times to come up for Pooh.

Does that make sense? I think you're still able to get two FP's at a time....it's usually when the time is close to the first FP time.

I don't know how large a group you have, but if you have one person who is willing to do the criss-crossing to get the Fast Passes, the others don't have to. He/she can take all of your park tickets and get the FPs with them.

I did it for our group of 14 last October, and it was fun being the gopher. :)

We usually get to the parks at rope drop and send the fastest/ most energetic person to get FP's for one of the big rides (ie Toy Story Mania, Soarin etc..) and then we meet up and start touring. We don't do a lot of crisscrossing, but some times it is necessary. If you crisscrossed a lot at MK or Epcot you would be exhausted. We usually spend 2 days at those parks and divide the parks somewhat in half.
Anyway, I can't stress enough that if you want to ride without long waits, get there at park opening!:thumbsup2

If you are interested RideMax provides you with these choices. You can enter your dining/rest times and lengths and can choose whether or not you want a "fast" plan which includes more walking or a "slow" plan which includes less walking.

Just what I was about to say :thumbsup2! --Katie
