Reducing the number of people on an ADR

We are going to Disney in May and my mom was originally going with us, but has changed her mind. With most of our ADRs I've been able to reduce the number of guests and still have the same time. But 2 of them won't work. I know I won't be charged the no show fee as long as the rest of us show up, but I hate having a reservation for more people than I need. One of the restaurants is BOG and I don't want to prevent someone else from being able to get in. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to cancel and try to immediately rebook for 5 instead of 6 because I'm afraid of losing the ADR completely. Thanks!

Have you tried calling? Might be better to talk to someone rather than trying to change it online.

Just leave it as is for the 2 you can't switch. It will be fine. We had to do that for several ressies last time after 2 family members dropped out of the trip. We called, we were told to leave as is.

Also, I admire that you are thinking of others here. But as I was told there are no tables for 5 or 1. So going from 6 to 5 doesn't really open anything for anyone else.

Thanks y'all! One more question if you don't mind, the BOG reservation is for lunch, so will I be able to preorder for only 5 or will the system not accept that since the ADR is for 6?

That will be fine. You can order as much or as little as you like, regardless of the number of people on the ADR.
