Reducing # of guests on a reservation

When I made my reservation at 11 months out - I listed guests that I thought might come. We are just over 60 days out and I now know which 3 will be coming.

Since my reservation was made on rented points, am I correct that only the DVC member can call to remove the additional guests?

I would like to get this straight before I purchase and link my tickets - and begin making my FP.

Is there any rush to remove the extra guests? Would I still be able to make FP even though those extra 2 guests won't have park tickets linked to them?

Thanks!

Yes, only the member can remove the guests.

FP's are based on tickets, not being on a room reservation so no, you won't be able to make FP's for someone who doesn't have a ticket. Having a room reservation just means a person with a ticket can book FP's at 60 days instead of the 30 days if you don't have a room reservation onsite.

Unless you'll have a dining plan and assuming all going are actually listed, I wouldn't worry much about it.

Agree with Dean. No need to even remove names if you didn't buy a dining plan and those who are going are listed.

If you know the names for sure, just email the owner and request that they correct the names.

Just be sure to not go over the limit of guests for the unit you have booked.
