Redeeming Airmiles for Parkhoppers :)

Just a quickie question ... we decided to splurge on a couple days at Disneyland in September. We're trying to do it cheap as we blew our holiday money on the cruise to LA :cool1: ...we were quite excited to discover DH has enough airmiles for at least one adult PH and we're going to spend the next couple of months trying to hoard enough for at least one more.

But just wondering when you do redeem them, how long does it take to get the passes? Just want to make sure that we earn as long as possible without chancing not getting them in time for our trip

Thanks so much :)

We have always received tickets within 10 working days and normally less than that.

Thanks so much :) First time doing this so was worried there'd be the infamous '6 to 8 weeks' for delivery :rotfl:

Now to hope that Canada Post doesn't go on strike

I've had mine within a week.....the last time I redeemed I think the envelope was in my mailbox within 3 days. I remember being really shocked that it was so fast. That time I ordered them online so I don't know if that makes any difference.

Mine took about 2 weeks. We got universal tickets as well the last time we went to fl for all of us!

If you are ordering only one ticket it is possible it will take longer to come. Something they don't tell you on Airmiles is that when you spend over a certain # of Airmiles they mail your tickets priority so it has a tracking number, if it's a single it's just regular mail. In mid December for our January trip we ordered 3 adult and 1 child park hopper and it arrived so fast we decided to go ahead and order another for my husbands sister. We did not receive the ticket before we left for our trip on January 19.

That would explain why I got mine so fast.....I redeemed over 10,000 AM the last time. I got 2 adult 7 day all inclusive tickets and 2 adult US tickets. I looked back and I ordered mine on a Monday, online, and the courier was knocking on my door on Thursday before noon. Good thing I was working at home that day.

Oh wow, good to know! Thank you all for the responses! We have enough for two kids tickets right now and are going to try for enough for an adult before the end of summer.

We ordered one ticket last Monday and got it last Wednesday, lol.

I was going to order 3 tickets but was worried about the possible postal strike that might be happening soon. We are going in September so I would assume they would get here before them but you never know :)

Sorry to dig up this old thread.

I'm planning to redeem for the 7-days park hopper ticket. When I receive the voucher from Airmiles, what do I need to do get the actual ticket? Do I just bring the voucher to the tickets counter outside of the park to exchange for a 7 days pass on my day 1 visit?

Thanks for any input.

They will send you actual tickets...no vouchers. So just use them, nothing needs to be done.

For Disneyworld, you get an actual ticket from Airmiles - not a voucher. Same with Universal. No need to worry about exchanging - just go to the park and put it in the turnstyles like everyone else.

Thanks dancin Disney style and Kat&Dom !!!

Ordered tickets on Tue and received yesterday via Purolator. Very surprise of the fast delivery.

 Have a great trip! I love that we can get our Disney tickets through Airmiles - it is the best!

Some of you may have received an email from Airmiles saying they are changing. I h ave been collecting for a while, and have over 3000. I am considering cashing in for DW tickets. We are not planning to go anytime soon. I read here somewhere that it is not a problem to order tickets years in advance, as long as you do not use any days, they will not expire. Is this still correct.
Also, Some people said they ordered the 3 days from Airmiles, then after their first day at DW changed it to a 5 or 7 day pass. I think I may do this and order an adult and child pass. Is this correct procedure?

We just ordered the movie pass for 2 from AM. Hopefully we will get them next week in time to see Cars 2.

Yes, the Disney tickets are valid until you use them then they expire 14 days from first use unless you have the non-expiry option. I have the next 2 years worth of Disney tickets for my son. I actually used his 7 day child ticket and upgraded it to 10 day PH, no expiry with WP&M option on our last trip. I am hoping to get a Disney ticket for myself in a month or so that I will upgrade into an AP as we stay off-site and have 2 trips planned (one in November and one in August 2012). It is super easy, we upgraded when we left the park at lunchtime so we had no line ups to deal with. It took probably 5 minutes to do the upgrade and get our new tickets!
