I am looking to rent a timeshare and have found great info on this site. Thinking of joining redweek to rent at WBC and/or Sheraton Vistana Resort as we will be there for more than 2 weeks. If renting from an owner do I have to check in on a Saturday or Sunday? Do I have to rent for exactly 7 days? I would like to check in on a Monday for 7 or 8 days, and on the back end check in eithor on a Friday for 10 days, or Monday for 6 days. (Universal hotel booked mid-vacation). You would be more likely to get what you want at WBC, since it's a points based resort. Sheraton Vistana is not. You'd probably have to rent full weeks there, though they do have Friday, Saturday and Sunday check-in dates.

You can sign up as a guest on Redweek.com and just join if/when you find something that you want to rent. That's what I always do. I've found most timeshare rentals to be for a full week. And have for just a couple days often had to do retail rentals. Another site I have rented timeshares from is the TUG2.net classified ads section. TUG is a timeshare users group, and you don't have to join to review classified ads or contact owners.

I've done about a dozen rentals to date using these two sites. All my rentals, though, have been for a full seven days from Friday to Friday, Saturday to Saturday, or Sunday to Sunday. That's what I mostly see, but it's free to look.

I know that at Christmas time my four night retail rental at the Sheraton Vistana was about the same price as my full week spring break owner rental there. Might not be where you want to stay, but if you need to fill in some days with a retail timeshare rental, I've sometimes seen some really good deals at Cypress Pointe, another nice timeshare resort very close to Downtown Disney that we've stayed at a few times and really liked.
