Well, today is a great day to start this thread! Mirabelli arriving minutes before the game, totally overshadowing Damon's first game in Boston as a Yankee, huge HR by Papi, and of course a win over the Yankees... Life is good in RSN tonight!
So, now that this game is over, do you think they'll stop talking about Damon at last? I'm so tired of hearing about him.

I thought the dollar bills being tossed into center field was pretty funny. There were moments when I almost felt sorry for the ex-caveman....but then I saw him in the Yankee dugout and that feeling quickly passed.

The Mirabelli thing was great. Now if we could only see Arroyo come back, that would make me happy.

I thought the funniest sign was the "TRADER" sign in the bleachers. Way to go people! Its "TRAITOR"!!!

I'm glad Mirabelli's back. I said from day 1 that it was a bad move. Bard just had a terrible time catching Wake's knuckleballs. Its good that Mirabelli flew in to play, stole some of Damon's thunder!

The weather made last night's game a strange one indeed. Until the Ortiz blast, it seemed like there wouldn't be runs scored on anything other than ground ball singles. Without that wind, Papi's HR would still be flying!

has anyone gone to a sox game on mothers day past? i have tickets for the 14th and was wondering if they do anything like open the field or player photos,i'm asking cause i gave my son and his girlfriend tickets for easter day they opened the field and had photo ops with the players.I was the best mom in his eyes he got photos with timlin,youke,and schilling he was in heaven!!! i'd love for the same to happen to me.

I was at the game last night, it was CRAZY!!!! So much fun but freezing!!! Sitting here almost dreading going back to the ol ballpark tonight. It is going to be colder and wetter and I know they wont call the game until after I have paid for parking, gone through the turnstiles and bought my 2 $6.50 Budlights!! The sacrifices I make....

I was at the game last night also, what a great game! Cold but noone seemed to care too much. I clapped for Johnny at first bat, but he was fair game for boos after that. The "Trader" sign was ridiculous, I thought we have better edjukation than that here.

Another HUGE fan here. Can't wait till next tuesday when I'm back in Mass from school and will finally be able to watch the games on NESN again with Remmy. Also lookin foward to the 24th when I'll get to see Wake take on the Empire. I was wicked excited when I heard that Dougy was comin back, and it was rediculous that they were able to get him back here so quickly. I was also another one who jumped all over Johnny for goin to the dark side, but it was really classy of him to tip his helmet to the stands, I don't hate the man (well maybe a little bit for takin the money and runnin), but I hate the uniform a whole lot more. When he's all done, I'll remember him for being one of the guys who brought back the trophey to Boston.

One MAJOR drawback of Directv is they don't offer NESN in High Definition. Last year it wasn't bad because I could pick up a game here or there on Ch. 38 in high def.

So I will suffer and watch the games in standard def. I guess I'll just have to get to Fenway more often and watch them live!!
