I am planning a trip to Boston and was hoping to go see the Sox at Fenway-but I'm hearing some disturbing info that you can really only get them from a resale dealer?

How do I know if the resale dealer is legit? And how much is the up-charge for not getting a ticket directly from the Park?

Thanks. :)

Here are THREE sites that are reputable and reasonable as well.

www.razorgator.com

www.stubhub.com

www.aceticket.com

My son buys ALL his Red Sox tix through STUB HUB and has good luck with them.

I have purchased through RAZOR GATOR with good luck.

And friends of ours, their SON works at ACE and this year it is supposed to be the BEST place for SOX tickets.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Thank you so much momrek! :thumbsup2

When you say that your son has had 'good luck' wth them you don't mean that when he's gone to the trnstile they've always been legitimate tickets-you meant that he's always been able to get the dates/seats that he wanted, I think?

Thank you again...I originally thought I might just buy tickets when I got there! Boy, was I wrong! :p

EDIT: I see what you mean-just went to razorgator and could not get 4 seats together for a price/seat loc that I'd like. I'm off to stubhub.:)

YUP, absolutely NO PROBLEMS AT ALL with any of these sites. TOTALLY LEGIT!!! Yes and always was able to get the date and seats (within reason as far as price). You will see all sorts of prices.

You can also TRY EBAY. My younger son tried that LAST SUMMER so last minute when I good friend call to say he was coming to Boston for the day and they wanted tix bad and it was awesome. Mike called and they came the next day FEDEX!!!

Hope it works out for you and be sure and have a WICKED good time!!! HAHA!!!

have fun. try getting them 3 years ago, before they were super popular! haha.

i'd love to see a game, i just don't want to bother looking for tickets. i'm waiting for the bruins to have a comeback and be just as popular.

They're pretty hard to come by. To get them through the Sox box office is like an act of God, unfortunately. I've been lucky enough in the last few years to win a few lotteries that gave me the chance to buy tickets direct, which essentially means you have the opportunity to sit online all day in virtual window nightmare from which you may or may not end up with tickets. I've gotten them a few times, a few times not. This year I won no lotteries and will have to go through brokers etc.. to get any tix. I usually use stubhub and can vouch for them, I've even used them to travel to away games also. Another place to try is craigslist, which I used to get tickets for the upcoming first Yankee game 5/1, but since I only used that one time and it's different people selling with essentially no monitoring from what I can see, I'd be a bit more wary with that.

The last, and probably littlest known way of getting tickets, is to sign up for red sox replay, which is right on redsox.com. Basically you pay about $60 for the chance that season tickets holders will put their tix up for sale on the replay site. I joined one year, but found that there weren't many tickets put up for sale after the April games and have since decided not to waste my $60. You can check on the of chance they have something since you are allowed to view whats for sale at the replay site without joining. My guess is not much, particularly the summer months everyone wants.

Good luck, which series are you planning to come and see?

I got ours last year through the RedSox ticket office. They were 80 bucks a ticket but we ended up 8 rows from 3rd base. Amazing.....

Not that this is the recommened thing to do - but there have been several times I've been in town, decided to go to a game on a whim, and bought from scalpers near the park. It's risky, but I've never had a problem with fake tickets or anything.

I agree. Go to Fenway Park and you can purchase from numerous sellers. It always seem to be the same people selling tickets. In all my years of buying, I have never been scammed outside the park. :)

?
I paid 50$ for this last week and I'm hoping I have some luck.

Thanks for the replies. I've just been scanning the sites mentioned above and I can't seem to find 4 tix together in a section that isn't way out and/or up. There seem to be some that "hint" that they are standing room but aren't really expicit and since I don't know Fenway...I guess if it seems suspicious I should avoid it. I'm not sure I have enough nerve to try the scalpers!

I'm kind of hoping that more sellers MAY come out of the woodwork as my date approaches. Or, maybe we'll go off and do something else-but Fenway does seem like such a nice, quaint old-style park!:)
