The title says it all...which would you choose if you could only have one?

LOL! DH and I are visiting sans kids in January. I rarely drink alcohol because the kids are always with me, so I am planning to try a few this trip! Because I am such a lightweight, and because I have a few other drinks I would like to try as well, I may only get a chance to have Sangria once. I've never tried it before. Which do you suggest? :banana:

I guess it depends on who's making it. I tend to prefer white sangria when I make it myself, but some of the white sangrias I've tried at Disney have been syrupy and sweet. I feel like red wine can cut that sweetness a little more.

I usually prefer white, but never had sangria at Disney.

I like white sangrias, which is weird because I prefer red wine. I am also weird because I don't like a whole lot of fruit floating around in mine. :(

I also don't like mint floating in my mojitos.

I guess I just don't like floaters...

Hmmm...floaters, that doesn't sound very appetizing! :upsidedow

:rotfl::rotfl: Floaters = yum!

I voted for white because red wine gives me a migraine after 2 sips, so I've only had white sangria!

I voted for red because I have found many white sangrias to be too sweet. Red sangria usually has a citrus component which "tarts it up" for me. Plus, red looks more like Sangria in food photos.::yes::

This is my kind of thread! I love all varieties of sangria! If I'm eating saucy Italian food, red sangria is a MUST! But when i want a crisp, refreshing cocktail I thoroughly enjoy a white sangria!

I'll drink the red Sangria, but definitely prefer the white. I prefer white wine to red anyway, and Sangria is no exception. I'm also a sweet tooth.:thumbsup2

I enjoy both varieties of sangria, but usually choose the white as I find it more refreshing and I prefer a sweeter drink. :thumbsup2

Oh my, I may just have to try both!

Thanks for humoring me, everyone. It's these silly little planning details that help me pass the time until our trip! :banana:

I go with red. White sometimes has peaches as one of the fruits in the mix and don't care for their taste.

Don't get me wrong if it's white or nothing I won't turn it down, just won't enjoy it as much ;)

Obviously this is very subjective so go with whichever wine you enjoy the most. In white Sangria if its made with a Spanish white like Albariño I like it. But I find most are made with sweeter wines like Riesling which I just don't like. On the other hand I've met very few red sangrias that I didn't like (provided of course the base is a quality red). For me red, red wine....I'm gonna love it till I die, love it till I die, and that's no lie #UB40
