Is the Countdown Chicken Fusilli at Red Rockett in DL exactly the same or just similar to the Chicken Sundried Tomato Pesto at Boardwalk Pasta in DCA?

Reason I ask is that we love the fusilli at Red Rockett but it's always so busy and loud at Red Rockett. So, if the chicken pasta dish is basically the same sauce as the one at Boardwalk, we would rather eat at Boardwalk.

TIA.

It's been a while since I've had either, but I recall the one at Boardwalk having a redder-colored sauce (I think the sun-dried tomatoes were part of the sauce). The one at Redd's seemed more like a traditional white/cream sauce (thicker than the one at the Boardwalk).

Inside Redd's is pretty noisy, but the exterior tables aren't bad. If the weather is nice, we've taken the food to one of the exterior tables (there are some right outside the main entrance) and over along the wall near Launch Bay. It was fun to watch the happenings in Tomorrowland while we ate. There are also tables in the back, along the walkway to Space Mountain. The view isn't as fun, but they also don't seem as noisy as being inside. They also don't seem to care if you take your food over to Galactic Grill's seating area (we did that once when half the party wanted Galactic Grill's offerings and the other half wanted Redd's).

It's funny you should say that, because for a long time we never ate at Red Rockett because we had heard the food wasn't good, but recently we've added it to our regular rotation specifically because every time we've gone there it has been quiet and empty - a great place to take a break even if the food is so-so. I guess we've been lucky. I don't have a direct answer to your question but I just did a google image search for the two dishes and they don't look the same. One has white sauce and the other has red.

It is definitely different. I love the fusilli at Rockett and tried the one at Boardwalk and I wasn't a fan.

For quietness, have you tried eating outside (next to the Space Mountain walkway)? It's not silent but at least its a bit quieter and emptier!

Thanks for all the replies. It's coming back to me now. The Boardwalk pasta is more tomato-ey than Redd's. I like tomatoes but sun-dried, not so much.

We're familiar with the seating by Space Mtn because that is where we always seem to end up after not finding any tables inside.

I like both, but they are different. I will try to attach a picture...hopefully it’s not too big.DEEA6AD7-703C-493B-9BD2-B5A3686C3B3C.jpeg

They are not the same....I enjoyed both. But the one at Boardwalk is without a doubt much better IMO. It’s creamy, tomatoey, and there is a little spice to it. I’m a pasta lover and I consider this a must eat at DCA.

Sign me up as another person who loves BOTH!! The chicken fusili is my favorite, but I've also been eating that one longer! But had the one at Boardwalk the last few times and it is a very close second. You can't go wrong with either and I plan to have both this summer! With an 8 day trip, I'm sure I can squeeze them in, LOL.
