Red Robin Restaurant

Hi!!!!

What day did you eat there? We were there Wednesday for lunch!!!! I love the burgers. And the fries...Yummy!!!

We've been quite a few times already. I love that mall!!!

Maybe we'll have a mini-Dis meet at the Red Robin some day!!!

We've had one for at least the last 8 years or so. I think they are overpriced. My bill there is always higher for similar fare than it is at other places.

I'm amazed at how many fans of Red Robin there are! I think they are absolutely horrid. The food is terrible and the service is worse! I had to send a burger back three times on one visit because I wanted it cooked medium and it kept coming back to me like a charcoal briquette!! YUCK!! And then they tried to charge me for my burger and the replacement salad I had because I wouldn't eat it!

We have one close by here in MD. We used to go all the time, loved it. However we went back recently and the burgers were just yuck! Been eating burgers from Five Guys (a local chain) which are really good, perhaps that was why the Red Robin ones tasted so bland. Probably give them a whirl again sometime. Maybe it was an off day for the poor patties!!!

I wonder - are you in the Annapolis area by chance? DH and I went to a Red Robin in Woodbridge, VA a few years ago and really liked it, but recently we went to one in Annapolis and thought it was pretty average/not worth the $, the service was lacking, and the whole palce seemed dirty. We much prefer Five Guys (who needs unlimited fry refills when they practically fill a brown lunchsack with awesomely fresh fries for each "regular" serving?) or Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger.

I have noticed that some of the sites are a lot lower in quality than others. I've never had a horrible experience there like I have at other chains, but certainly some have been better than others.

Has anyone ever heard of Red Robin Restaurant? DH & I stopped into a Red Robin Restaurant the other day. It was really a great restaurant. More for the younger kids but we saw ALL AGES. The food was great. Has bottomless soda AS WELL AS bottomless french fries. The restaurant has a fabulous decor. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The menu is HUGE.
AND the prices were super. ALL IN ALL a big 10!!!!

When we got home, I went online and there is only ONE open in MA and we were in it. They will be opening one soon on the Cape.

Does anyone have one in their town? How long has this restaurant been around?

TIA!!! :goodvibes

I hope you waved on the way by, you were a 1/4 mile from my office :)

I feel the same way about the Cheesecake Factory. While their cheesecake is heaven :cloud9: , their service is always bad, the food is usually just blah, IMO, and once time was horrible. Way back in about 1990, I ordered pasta and it was crunchy. Not al dente, but crunchy, like the noodles were sort of waved over the steam instead of actually being put in the boiling water. I sent it back, and they brought out another one that was exactly the same way. Funny, I still remember the waiter telling me the chef said that's how it's supposed to be, and me replying that "the chef and I have a serious disagreement on how long pasta is supposed to be cooked", :rotfl: Anyway, I switched my order to a burger or something then, and they did the same thing! Tried to charge me for both! No way, no how! To this day, I cannot for the life of me understand why so many people love the Cheesecake Factory. :confused3

Anyway, back to Red Robin, I agree that their quality varies greatly. The one by us has great food and service, but we've been to others (one just a few miles away) that leave a lot to be desired.

I love the Mushroom Swiss Burger. We have a couple around Pittsburgh. We really like Red Robin.

No I'm in Upcounty Montgomery. My DH and I went on a bit of a health kick, so Red Robin was out, too much temptation. Then Five Guys opened up, and well, lets say our health kick is more of a twitch at the moment!!!

Be nice to the bird

My DD17 has worked at Red Robin for about a year and is the "Bird" on Tuesday nights. A few nights ago when she got home I asked her how work went. Well, she said, if you like to get pinched kicked and slapped by 4 year old kids for six hours then I had a great time. :rotfl:

OT: :offtopic: college hill...is that Brown? My sons are at PC (Masters & Undergrad)!!!

There is not one in our town but about 45 minutes away in Hershey. I love their burgers! Hmmm, might just have to take a trip soon!

Yes - Brown, RISD, and JWU.
I just transfered to PC's continuing ed dept :thumbsup2

Why did they change their nachos? Their nachos were THE BEST. The last time I was there, the waitress told me they are now chili seasoned nachos. :confused3 Why change a good thing?

I love, love, love their Ranch Chicken Burgers.

They are almost everywhere in Washington State. :cheer2:

We have loved them since the only ones in the area were Downtown Seattle and the Overlake area in Redmond. Now our favorite one is in Monroe next to our favorite theater. Dinner and a movie. :thumbsup2

We go to that theater all the time but we've never been to the Red Robin up there! :confused3 The kids always want to go to Alphy's because of the Xbox area, I still don't get it, we have an Xbox and the same games at home! :confused3 :rotfl:

We have one opening near us soon. From all your posts, I can't wait! :cool1:
