Red Moon!

Whose watching the Lunar Eclipse? A gorgeous red moon. You have until approximately 11.45pm to catch it.

It's absolutely gorgeous! Earlier this evening the moon was such a bright white and its been amazing watching it become redder! Thank goodness for clear skies tonight.

I've been going outside ever 10 mins for since 8:20. It looks cool right now, like it is wearing a white hat!! Quite wierd!

DH is out there right now taking sequence photographs, I keep nipping out but its too cold to stay out long. The lads are watching Match of the Day and keep popping out to have a look. Its not red here though, there is a bit of white showing on the top and a vague outline of the whole of the moon is just visible, but very interesting to see.

Just come in from watching it - definitely a red tinge with the naked eye but no so obvious with a telescope. Spectacular in any event

Just had another look - looks a bit like a ping pong ball!! Not so much white at the top.

I watched the eclipse until the moon 'disappeared' but didn't realise there'd be anything else noteworthy to see once that had happened, and went to bed!

This morning DD said "did you see the fantastic red moon?"
