Do they really work? Any recommendations? I have some old photos, that I would love to use, but the red eyes are so obvious in some of them.

Thanks!
Debbie

I use a Fiskars red-eye pen. 99% of the time it works like a charm. The only time it doesn't work for me is when the eyes in the photo are relatively small. I don't even bother then, because it just turns the eyeballs green.

Red eye pens work only if you put the pen exactly on the red eye.

I was demonstrating this at a workshop and with my shaking hands I missed the eye. Ended up ruining the picture. :guilty: Thank goodness many of the photo printing services have the red eye fixer on the program.

That would be my picture. LOL No biggie, I have more! But yes you do have to be careful with it.
I have yet to find something to fix green eye for my dog too.

B&MB - CM also used to make a pet eye reduction pen - I'm not sure if they still do or not but perhaps you might be able to either check the website or find a consultant who still has one in inventory.

Yes CM made a pet eye pen but I have never tried it. So far behind on the baby book to get to the pets! I do have a couple of them. If I can find an old pet pic, I will see if it works ok and let you know.

I have the Fiskars red eye pen too. It works ok for me, although I agree the eyes turn a bit green, but I'd pick that over bright red.

I'd practice on a couple of spare pictures first. If you try to color in the whole eye it looks bad, but if you make a couple of small dots around it looks better.

I just looked at the CM website and they still have the Pet Pen.

The best red eye pen I have found so far is from American Crafts, they also have the Pet eye pen. It just works great! I have had better results with it than any other pen on the market.

I just got a polaroid on Saturday of my kids with Scooby Doo and my daughter has red eye, as usual.

Do red eye pens (Fiskars in particular) work on polaroids? It's the only picture I have so I can't really experiment.

I like CM's Red Eye Reduction pen, haven't really used the pet one. I do know if you start to not be able to touch up your photo, the pen is running out.
