Hi guys . Well just booked DL in April for the kiddos and myself and my priority was a direct flight. Well it’s an overnight flight. I know the littles will sleep I have no idea if I will be able to.
Thinking I might need a hotel for a couple hours when we arrive in Buffalo. Would I book the hotel the night before and juat arrive at 6 am and sleep until 11 if j can’t get a late checkout ?
Anyone do anything similar.
Thanks in advance :)

I think the problem you will have is that most hotels turn over their clock for the day at 6am. So you would have to arrive prior to 6am to be able to get in the room as a check in from the previous day. After 6am you would no longer have a reservation and the one you made for the previous day would be a no show and you wouldn't get in. If you booked it as an arrival for the actual date you are arriving you could check in after 6am but they may not have a room ready for you and actually don't have to let you into one (even if available) until whatever their standard check in time is, usually 3pm.

When we need a hotel in Buffalo we always stay at the Aloft as they have always been VERY accommodating. That said I'm a silver member so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I would suggest you make some calls directly to some hotels and speak with a manager to see what they can do for you. Then closer to your trip reconfirm all the info via email so that you have it in writing.

Thanks . Yeah it kinda boggled my mind bc I’ve never flown overnight. But there are a lot of overnight flights so you would think it would be a common …
Thanks again
