Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it seemed the best fit. Anyway...I need a new bag for the trip this year, but all of the small backpacks I am seeing have fake buckles with snaps underneath. Zippers would be cool, too, but I am too paranoid about those snaps lol. Anyone want to share their current bag of choice? I'm a small woman, so not looking for anything too big, but I'm open to suggestions :D

Thanks, everyone!

Thanks, @MataHari22! Appreciate the link! That half pint looks to be just the right size. I didn't even know that was a thing. And it's cheap, too. :thumbsup2

No problem. I would definitely check them out. I used to work as a manager of a shoe store and we'd get those backpacks in all the time. I haven't looked at them recently, but they were well made back then, and I never had problems with them. The zippers have a sort of covered edge to them (at least the ones I do have it) so it's sort of hidden and not easily accessible for anyone that would try to steal.

Are you looking for more a messenger type bag or a backpack, I'd add my vote for jansport if your looking for a backpack they are so sturdy they can last for years. As for messenger bag type styles i'd have to do some searching for the one I have and use to see since most seem to have snap closures.

There's also a small (narrow) Camelbak if you think you'd use the water function. I really like mine.
