Recruiter Issues

Hey everybody!! So I need some help with this. During my interview I did not get a chance to put in a preference for a park or rides or anything like that. I realize that you are not assured a spot, etc. I just wanted to put my preference out there. Also at my audition there were no puppetry auditions, so I wanted to make that known as well (I am in one of the only puppetry colleges in the U.S.). my recruiter sent me that first e-mail and I sent one back nicely saying that I hadn't had a chance to say at my audition but I wanted to let them know about my puppetry, etc. Then also said that I realized it did not mean I was in the program or such, but I would prefer Magic Kingdom and that as much as I love the Haunted Mansion (1 of my favorites along with Pirates!!) I could never work there because even when I am sad or depressed or just hanging out I always smile. This was last Sunday or Monday. I realize they are very busy and it was a big e-mail but still. I tried to call 3 times today, one time it was busy, the other 2 times it rang twice then screeched in my ear like a fax machine or when you use dial-up and dial to the internet. Can anyone help me? I don't want to be obnoxious but I also want to get my preferences in and also I want to be able to be in contact with my recruiter just in case!! Help!!!!
Have a Magical Day (Though some are harder than others!!)

Hey Hey
I know that you really have a prefrence about what you want to do, but you cant request rides or such. The thing they take into consideration is your three top job prefrences, not specifics or where you would like to work. And if you make character, you will be allowed to talk to your manager about puppetry, that doesnt go through the college program department, it goes through entertainment!

Hey the Puppetry thing got all figured out with the entertainment department so no worries there. I know that I can't request anywhere, but everyone seemed to have said something about preference in their interviews and I had no option for that so I figured I would just let them know about my preferences. I know that there is no guarantee and that they don't factor in much but anything I can do I will try. That's how I figure it. The most important thing is just to know my recruiter is still alive and an actual person lol!!

Considering it's still recruiting season I'd say you're e-mail is at the end of some very long list. Your support recruiter is back in FL and probably a better person to contact at this time, you should have recieved an e-mail from them after you interviewed. I know that when I was communicating with my recruiter last spring it could take up to a month to hear back.

Preferences are not asked during the interview, you would have had to bring it up. I'm sure your MK request is probably out there so I wouldn't worry too much.

To all who replied, just an update. Heard back today from my recruiter (ironically a short while after I posted hahaha) and she said that I should be hearing about my audition soon (I had already heard) and she is waiting for my papers from the audition to come through. Then she also said that she would note my 4th & 5th role choices and that Mk is my 1st choice park and DHS is my 2nd. So just thought I would let everyone know. I figured it was just a long list of e-mails but I was worried now especially since I didn't make the cut at auditions :'-( I wanted to make sure I could reach her if necessary and also that, if I do get accepted, that I have a small chance of getting my favorite place ( if I get Innoventions at EPCOT I may possibly die!!, no offense to anyone who loves it there......) so it is all cleared up. This all kind of set in today, I wish I would just know, I'm looking for other summer jobs and it's very sad at this point, feeling like there is no hope it is sooo far away. I know Disney is busy but HURRY UP!!!! lol so yea thanx everyone!!

How does everyone know who their recruiter is? Is it the person you interview with? Mine never gave her last name and when I asked how to get in touch with her she said any questions I had could be directed to the 1-800 number. Is this a bad thing?

I don't know when you interviewed or if you are auditioning, or what. I got my e-mail after my audition thanking me for auditioning (although those who don't audition get a Thanks for Interviewing, I believe) on the Monday after my audition (this past Monday). Some people get them a week after their interview, some the next day. You will receive an e-mail, usually within a week or 2, that just says I am your recruiter, I will help you through the process, if you need anything contact me, you will hear from me again in 4-6 weeks. Like after you receive your packet or whatever, they will contact you again, it's not a 4-6 week wait for a packet or response (usually). So, yea, you should get an e-mail, if it has been 2 weeks or more I would give the 800 number a call and just see what they can do to help you out. It's a huge process and accidents or glitches do occur. Hope that helps ease some of the worry, let us know what happens!!

Thanks! I'm not auditioning and my interview was last Thursday (the 19th) so it's only been about a week. I guess I'm just getting a little ahead of myself - it'll just be nice to have a confirmation that the process is in motion. Hopefully I'll get an email and a nice purple folder soon!
