Recovering from Broken Ankle - Advice Needed

Definitely rent a scooter. My daughter used a wheelchair (too young for a scooter) when we went 4 months after she'd broken her ankle. She had been through casts and then a boot and then a brace and then physical therapy at that point. She could walk some distance or stand in some lines but after a while she just got so sore and swollen and irritable. I was so glad we rented the wheelchair for her even when it was a pain to push around. I really think you will need to be able to stay off your foot as much as possible and between walking and standing in lines, you're on your feet way more than you realize.

Edited to add - YES with the ice and also ibuprofen!
