I thought that started tonight shortly after midnight and will peak around 4-5am (the time I normally get up)

I just googled---half of the hits says tonight will be the peak/others tomorrow.

National Geographic says that the showers won't be as good due to the fuller and brighter moon. ( http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/08/090810-perseid-meteor-shower.html )
