My final papers are coming tomorrow for my add-on! Eight days from beginning to end including the holiday. I was looking for a BWV resale and Jaki from A Timeshare Broker called me saying that a deal fell through and they are looking for another buyer. The title search was already done and Disney already approved the sale but the buyer's financing did not go through. DVC agreed to put the contract through again without a hastle. I can't wait, since I have already used all my points through 2003.

I forgot how long it takes DVC to put the contract into the system after they receive the papers. Does anyone remember? I know they say they do not let you "put borrowed points back" but do they allow you to exchange the points you are using if it is on a contract with the same use year and resort? I know- I'm reaching. :)

It usually takes about a week after closing to get into the system. I'm sorry that I don't understand your second question about exchanging points. Maybe someone else can help with that.

When we closed our resale, I called MS and a very nice CM went through the points for me. Our resale was same use year and resort. The resale had banked points into 2003. We have ressies for Feb '03. She replaced the points currently used for the ressie with the banked points from the resale. When the ressies were made we had borrowed points. The borrowed points could not be changed. I was thrilled how easy and fast the CM had everything all straighted out.

Thank you for responding. Sorry my second question wasn't clear. Let me try again. I have points on my resale that are unsed for the 2002 use year but I have already borrowed points on my existing contract (for a trip home later this year) from the 2003 use year. It would be to my advantage to use my current points rather than my borrowed points. When you add on at the same resort that have the same use month, will they let you switch the points that I am using or once I borrow them, I can't return them?

OK, now I think I get it. Once you borrow points, they cannot be returned to their original use year. If they are not used by the end of your current use year, they will be lost.

My advice is to bank the current use year points from your resale if you can. Another possibility is to ask the seller to bank the points for you. But before you bank, be sure you won't need them until the next use year. Banked points must stay banked - no returns!

Good luck!
