I have been to disneyworld 3 times and always had an amazing time. My work friend decided to go after myself and another work friend rave about the place. She just texted me to say they are at the hotel the night before the flight and that they are all so excited. I really hope she has a good time otherwise i will feel bad. Has anyone recommended disney to friends and family and they haven't enjoyed themselves?

Nope. Has she done a bit of research? Does she know about fastpass, ADRs and the basic things? I am sure you and your friend have given her more helpful advice than most have. She will most probably love it and be in a rush to book another trip when she gets back. :)

Oh she has been given tons of advice, pre-booked the photopass cd. Booked some resturants etc. Knows about Fast passes. Its all we have really talked about at work, lol. She has been to Disney Paris before.

I think that if you gave her advice and she sounds like she has taken it then its now up to them to enjoy the holiday. If they don't its their choice and you should not feel guilty for suggesting it. They are the ones that booked and paid for it and you did not force her to book it.

I am sure they will have a wonderful time and will thank you for all your help/suggestions.

Please don't worry just be jelous they are there and you are not. :lmao:

Lol don't worry i go next month. :)

I think she will be okay, she has had a lot to deal with the last few months and i really want her to enjoy herself.

Sounds like she has had some good advice:thumbsup2

One of our workmates went in May. I think he was shocked at the level of my addiction! I gave him the Brit's guide and info off touring plans and recommended loads of places to eat (my specialist subject!)

Anyway he had a great time.

Well its sweet of you to wish that and i am sure she will even if she has taken half of the advice given then she will be fine.

And i never looked at your ticker well i am sure she will be the jelous one knowing that you are going and she will have to stay at home. :thumbsup2

And a really good friend too! :)

Our accountant is going in December. Not to Disney specifically. They are not new to Florida, but have decided to by a couple of days MYW base tickets since they have never been.

She learnt yesterday from me that you don't need a ticket to go to Downtown Disney. She loved the sound of House of Blues. I am going to get them a gift certificate and send them off to try it! I don't talk about it anymore because although it's funny when people thing you are over the top with your passion for Disney, I think they can become a little annoyed - especially when they just dont get it. Let's face it, you have to be there to understand what all the hype is about. Nonetheless, she had tons of questions and I was only too happy to help.

You have to remember when offering advice, even those who take it all on board will tailor their days to suit themselves and it won't be exactly the way you may do things. But that does not mean they got anything less out of their trip.
