As a Canadian I will require a Covid test to return to Canada and not have to quarantine. Does anyone have any good recommendations for locations convenient for Aulani guests? Also what do these tests cost?

I have a reservation for November and am still unsure if I will go.

We are also Canadian and are supposed to go in November as well, so we are looking into the same thing. It looks like you can book appointments at the CVS pharmacy in Kapolei (if you have a car). Interested to here from others who have real life experience re this.

For the past several months, the state has operated at least one mass testing site. The sites have been at the airport, Aloha Stadium, and is now at the Blaisdell Center.

Here is a website that shows covid testing locations. You can use the map feature to find one near Aulani. https://www.oneoahu.org/covid19-testing/#map

I'm pretty sure there's a Walgreens on Oahu that does free testing. We got our testing done to return to Canada from the US this summer at Walgreens for free. We looked into it for when we return from Hawaii but our last island is Maui and they don't have any of the free testing there but my husband said Oahu did. You can check on their website.

If CVS is a valid testing site, it is called Longs Drugs here, it is located in a strip mall with lots of stores, restaurants and Safeway. I also see a Longs Drugs sign on the side of Target but I don’t know what the capacity is as it is within the store. The local Kaiser is now a 7 day testing site too. Not sure if you have to be a member. It is called West Oahu Kaiser. It is near (but across the highway a bit) Costco.

I thought the border was open via plane. As long as you are vaccinated you don’t need a test to return. Am I really behind in my updates? We are in BC, if that matters.

You still need a PCR test up to 72 hours before you return home, even if you’re vaccinated, you just don’t have to quarantine for 14 days anymore. Check out the government travel website, it lays it all out.

You also don't need to test on arrival (if fully vaccinated).

....and it cannot be just any test, there is a list of acceptable tests for re-entry into Canada
