Recommendations?!

I'm looking for recommendations for officiants and make up artists! I'm getting married in March of 2012 so I know this is early but I figure I should start looking (especially with the officiants) so that we can get to know them and make sure that they are exactly what we are looking for.

So has anyone worked with somebody that added that extra magic to their special day?

I have booked Rev. Jack Day and I have Weddings by Crystal (http://www.weddingsbycrystal.com/) doing both my hair and makeup. Now I have only heard good things about Rev. Jack Day but have not heard anything about Crystal **fingers crossed she is good** I didn't start with the forums until after I booked everything and sent my deposit for her. So I have her no matter what.

I loved Rev. Jack Day, and so did my guests...it's like having your very own Grampa officiate your wedding, as soon as it was over he gave me a huge hug...my sister said his voice reminds her of a narrator from Disney Movies, like robin Hood

I used Patricia LeJeune for hair and makeup and she was fantastic...I gave her little to no direction, and she did great. My hair and makeup held up from 4 AM until 10:30 at night with no touch ups...amazing! She is also the sweetest thing ever - very rarely do I meet someone who can seem charming at 4 AM, but she had me laughing the whole time!

I also booked Rev. Jack Day for my wedding next year. We haven't met but I've spoken with him over the phone a couple times and he is just the sweetest thing! I've only heard good things about him. And he reminds me of Carl from Up!

We had Rev. Tim Herring officiate our wedding and Laine from Beaute Speciale did my hair and makeup. I highly recommend both - Rev Tim's service brought tears to my eyes and Laine somehow made my thick hair completely frizz free!

The best thing about both of them is that they felt like friends of the family - we eloped and had no one at the wedding but us! Laine and I talked and laughed as she did my hair and makeup and Rev Tim stayed after the ceremony to give a toast. They were both a wonderful addition to our day!

We are also using Rev. Day for our VR next year. He is so charming and really on top of things.

I looked into using Patricia LeJeune, but she has a policy that she won't come out for less than 4 services (2 hair + 2 makeup, 4 hair, etc.) on a weekday or 6 on a weekend. So since I'm the only one having anything done, that ruled her out for me. I decided instead to go with Beaute Speciale, whose services are very highly recommended here, and they have no minimum requirements.

We had Rev Tim Herring and he was fabulous. Very nice, great sense of humor and lovely things to say during the ceremony. I couldn't have been happier.
Beaute Speciale was AMAZING for hair and makeup! We had Ana and 2 of her girls and they did fabulous jobs on all of us. And they were hysterical! We spent the whole time cracking up and listening to their hilarious stories...at 6:30am! Completely professional and 100% fun. They really started my wedding day off right!

Unfortunately I had a not so pleasant experience with Rev. Tim. He was really unpleasant and botched the ceremony by continually stuttering over the ceremony and not really connecting with who we are.

Beaute Speciale did my hair and make-up for our vow renewal. I was very, very happy with their service! Their communication leading up to the day was great - they always got back to me promptly. When we arrived at WDW I left a voice mail with my room number and they texted me back to say they got it. Just a small detail but it really helped put my mind at ease. Our officiant was Rev. Miller. He was also great to work with. He has a great personality and really made us comfortable when we were chatting before walking over to the ceremony site. The ceremony was very touching as well.
