I'm thinking up idea's for my wedding. It will be held on or around December 25th, 2008 :bride: , can anyone give me some advice on your experiences or ideas on what and where would be best. Thanks :goodvibes .

have you checked out Disney's Wedding website?

www.disneyweddings.com

That's probably a good place to get started. It will give you ideas of what is available right now. Some things (especially prices) will change for 2008, but at least you can get some ideas! :)

I'm thinking of WDW, at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort for the ceremony and reception. Is the Wedding Pavilion better? if it rains will they offer an alternative? and is it cold like most places for December? Last question :rotfl: How has anyones experience been with the Yacht and Beach Club, good, fantastic, terrible?

I LOVE to stay there and my reception is going to be at ariels which is there. They have a gazebo and I am not sure if you can marry in one of their ball rooms.

I think I'll pick the Wedding Pavilion for the ceremony, I'll have the reception at Ariel's :thumbsup2 . Now to pick transportation, which is the best? and are the motor coaches any good?

Most of the information you need is available by searching this board or other disney wedding websites.

Congratulations on your wedding!

People's opinions on the motorcoaches tend to depend on their guests. For us, the motorcoaches were invaluable, and also required for our dessert party. Our guests loved riding in them, and loved that they knew once they were on the bus, they didn't have to worry about a thing :) I would recommend them. But it all depends on your guest list and your needs.

You could also go to the unofficial disney weddings website at www.yourfairytale.com there is a lot of great information in there especially if you are going custom which it seems like you are.

We had a wedding on December 29, 2005. Our wedding ceremony was at the Wedding Pavilion, and the reception at the Yacht/Beach Club's Cape Cod Lobby and rooms. You do not need a rain alternative for the Wedding Pavilion... it is a completely indoor venue. Perhaps you are thinking of one of the other gazebos? There is a gazebo at the Yacht Club.

We loved our Yacht Club wedding. Most importantly, our guests loved it as well. We are still receiving letter, emails and phone calls from guests about the wonderful time they had. Instead of us thanking them (time and time again as we have been) for coming, they are thanking us for inviting them! It's almost uncomfortable! The Yacht/Beach Club did a fantastic job- everything was presetned beautifully, food was excellent, wait staff was great, etc. You can check out our photos, if you'd like. This is the link.
