Recommendations when traveling with a senior

I was talking with DH this morning, sharing my concerns about his mother not enduring the trip. He looked at me and asked me "Do you think I'm strong?". Now, DH is 6'6" and very, very strong. I'm like "Well, yeah!!". "You will find in this trip from where I inherited my strength".
Now, this is my first time travelling with her, so it's understood that I'm not aware of this. DH traveled with both his parents to NYC 5 years ago, and he was reminding me that they did a lot, a lot! of walking and her mother endured just fine. Of course, NY at 70 might be a little different from DLR at 75, but maybe I'm underestimating her.
Also, DH reminded me, there's the adrenaline factor. My MIL has never ever been to a Disney park, and besides NYC, she really hasn't going anywhere, so she's very, very excited.
Anyway, DH thinks she will only need the WC maybe a couple of days, and not every minute of the day, so pushing an empty WC (or maybe not always empty, DS will surely jump in if he sees the chance!) for a while maybe not that hard.
Thanks again for your replies, I'm taking everything into account.

We took my MIL two years ago. She was one year away from knee replacement. She is very strong willed and didn't want an ECV. But we told her she would be able to keep up with us for 5 full days. She relented and let us rent her an EVC from Deckert.
When she realized how far of a walk it was JUST from the hotel to the park (we were at Dessert Inn which is closer than HOJO), she was glad we got it for her.

Also, Just walking the ques on Indy, SM and Splash was exhausting. By the last day she was using the handicap entrance. All she had to do was show her EVC key that was on a bracelt type thing.

If your MIL doesn't start walking soon, she may not be able to make it from the shuttle drop to the front gate.

If you choose a wheelchair over an EVC, have one delivered to your hotel so you can get her back and forth from the hotel to the gate. Then you will have to get the hnadicap pass from City Hall
