Recommendations? Resort Style Hotel near Airport

We will be returning from a cruise in Port Canaveral. My nieces will be departing that evening from MCO, while my sister and I will continue on to the west coast of Florida to visit family for the rest of the week.

I would like to book a hotel for one night that has a nice "resort" environment to spend the day together. Of course, late in the day I will have to take them to the airport and return for the evening, so I would prefer to be a little closer to the airport. Any suggestions? I am thinking somewhere close to Universal Studios and/or the Convention Center might be the right location, but I am open to any other ideas.

Our other option would be to spend the day at a place like City Walk or Downtown Disney, take girls to the airport, then drive on down to Sarasota County...but that is a long day and a late arrival at Family's Home. Any suggestions for that option?

How about Sheraton Vistana Villages? It is near Sea world and IDrive and has very easy to get on the beachline (528) to get to the airport. This is an amazing resort.
