Hi all!
We are arriving at the BC on November 20th. Early. This is also my husband's birthday. We will have our almost 1 year old son with us so I was hoping to get some good recommendations on a great place to take him for dinner as a surprise that will also get us into the "magical" spirit. We usually (in the past) have dinner somewhere at Downtown Disney and we've been to the Nine Dragons at Epcot. So where would you go??? Like I said, we get in really early (I think 9 in the morning-ish), so timing won't be a problem. Please help!!

Personally, I really enjoy the Rainforest Cafe, although it may be a little intense for your little one. You can't make reservations at Downtown Disney but you can at the one in Animal Kingdom. Or, there are several cool restaurants in Epcot: The Coral Reef, Chefs de France, San Angel Inn, Matsu No Ma Lounge, and Restaurant Marrakesh. I've also heard that people enjoy Le Cellier.

yachtsman steakhouse at the yacht club is nice and over on the boardwalk flying fish is super. a short boat ride to MGM and Hollywood Brown Derby would be great. and as mentioned world showcase restaurants would be a good choice. happy birhtday to your huband! enjoy

I would suggest that you maybe try chef mickey's since you are looking for someplace to get into the disney theme and a I dont think it would be that hard for a one year old to handle wouldnt suggest one of the more upscale places on the day you are travelling to disney as well as spending time in the parks that may be a lot of activity for him to take before heading to a sit down "adult" place.

After my most recent trip I am thinking Flying Fish Cafe may be the most underrated of all disney dining experiences.

The food is outstanding. We were there begining of may and it was dead. The atmosphere is very cozy. The decor would be entertaining to the little one but not obnoxious for the adults. The wine selection is pretty good. Being on the boardwalk you'll definately catch the Disney spirit.

Another place I always catch the Disney Magic is 'Ohanas. You'll see many mixed reviews but I love it. If you time it right you can see the fireworks.

I completely agree1 Chef Mickey's is the best to get into Disney spirit, and your 1 year old will love it! come one anywhere where they twill napkins for your birthday and there;s unlimited dessert rocks!!!

May I suggest the San Angel Inn in Mexico. One of my faves. Also, Boma at AKL and 'Ohana at the Poly are great places. I think all three have the "magic".

Thanks again everyone! I think I'm going to go ahead and make ADRs for Chef Mickey. We've never been there and I think it will be a place ALL of us will have fun at and enjoy. I'm going to order one of those little birthday cakes and of course make the DH get his birthday button that day, so I think he should have a very happy birthday!

Thanks!! :sunny:
