Recommendations on Time Alottment for Dinner at The Wave

Hi I am planning my Magic Kingdom Day and trying to figure how much time to allow for Dinner at the Wave including travel time. I have never been to the The Wave so was looking for some opinions.

• My ADR is 5:55 PM Dec 11.
• What time would you recommend leaving MK?
• How long should I allow for dinner?
• If your schedule was tight and you had an ADR would you risk monorail breakdown vs walking to contemporary?

If you take the walking path from the MK to the Contemporary, about 15 minutes from the main street train station. The sidewalk path is to your left as you exit the park. After you cross the street onto the Contemporary grounds, follow the sidewalk to the Contemporary, hang a right, and then enter the Contemporary at ground level by the bus transportation. The Wave is on your left immediately past the front desk.

If you take the Monorail, budget 20 minutes from the time you are in the station. Once you arrive at the Contemporary, take the escalator down to level 4, then two more escalators to ground level. When you exit the escalator, The Wave is almost directly in front of you. If you take the elevator, you'll come out behind the escalators.

Walking to the Contemporary from the MK is always going to be faster.

Budget 90 minutes for dinner at The Wave.

I would always choose walking over the monorail

We love the Wave. Our meals there (for 2 adults) typically take 45 min-an hour.

The Wave is my fave restaurant on property! I would definitely walk from MK. Much faster than dealing with the monorail. Its a quick walk.
