Recommendations for where to rent ECV?

I am visiting Disneyland and staying at HoJo Anaheim from Nov. 13-18. I will be arriving in Anaheim just 3 days after finishing chemotherapy and therefore need to rent an ECV to help me get through our 4 days in the parks. I'd like to rent from an off-site vendor because its usually cheaper and I can use it to and from the hotel as well as to park-hop (which I can't do it I rent it directly at the parks).

If you've used an off-site vendor, who did you use? Would you recommend them or did you have any problems with them? I'm praying the rental goes smoothly and the ECV doesn't break down or have any problems so we can just concentrate on enjoying our trip :yay:

I highly recommend Deckert's Medical! I have used them 5 times and will be using them again next month. They deliver and pick up the ECV to your hotel and their price is great and they have great customer service.

Their number is 714-542-5607.

I'm glad you get to celebrate being done with chemo!

My mom used Deckert's in 2011. The ECV looked new, was VERY fast (anything more than about "turtle mode" and I couldn't keep up with her, walking), and it kept a charge so well that I think only once did it go one "tick" below full battery...and there were at least 6 or 8 "ticks." Absolutely no problems with it and the price was lower than we'd expected. She reserved one through them again this year.

YAY for completing chemo! You deserve a Disney celebration!

We're renting from Deckerts as well. This will be our first year since I used to have my own (now dead unfortunately). I've heard nothing but good about the company.

Thanks, I'll call them. Too bad their website isn't very comprehensive. I wish I could get a quote via email. But I like knowing others have had good personal experiences with them. Can anyone give me a ballpark of what you paid and for how many days?

I'm paying 150 for 6 days. Why is your price higher? Is price based on the hotel?

I love Deckerts and would not go anywhere else.

Ooh, even better. Where are you staying? I do wonder why prices would be different. I will call today.

I am staying at Candy Cane Inn. I also just realized that mine may be lower because of the times of day I need it. I don't need it until 4pm my first day, so that may not be priced as a full day.

I spoke to Dale Deckert today...what a pleasant conversation!! He told me it is $40 a day for the first 3 days and $15 a day after that. So for our 5 day trip the total is $150, but since we are repeat customers we get 5% off.

I have never asked for a repeat customer discount. I didn't even know they gave them, thanks for the info.

I called and spoke with Armando. He was very nice. I will be in the parks for 4 days so they'll be dropping it off at HoJo at 7:30am the first day I need it and picking it up in the morning the day after we finish at the parks (but only charging for 4 days). So, $135 total for me. Seems like a great deal. And so much better than renting from Disney (cheaper and much more convenient). Thanks for the tip!

Yeah this way you have it for the 'walk' back to the hotel. I have done that walk before :). I just wish they would pick it up at the airport after I fly home. I do love the people at Deckert's.
