Recommendations for WDW books

I just got done reading "Walt Disney: An American Original" and I thought it was wonderful. I never realized the trials Disney had to go through to realize his dreams. What an amazing individual. I wanted to read other books about the history of Disney and more specifically the history of Walt Disney World but am having trouble finding what I want. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I know there have probably been threads devoted to this subject, but I am having trouble using the search option on this discussion board.

Well, I really enjoyed "Since the World Began" by Jeff Kurtti. It was published in 1996 for WDW's 25th anniversary. It details the history of WDW, from the original purchase of the land up until 1996. Very interesting!

The only non-guidebook book I read about Disney was Walt's biography that Disney put out. It was interesting enough.

I just fininished reading Disney's World, which is all about Walt's life and those close to him.

The book is quite bittersweet. Walt was truly a genious, but a very tough man to work for. It was scary how often he put all that he had on the line financially to push the creativity envelope.

I, too, was surprised at all the trials he had even after he had achieved great success.

Another really good one is Walt's quote book. It's called the "Quotable Walt Disney". You can learn so much from a person by looking at their quotes!
