We want to have dinner at one of the monorail resorts on our MK day in October . . . what are your "go to" places? We will be coming directly from the park so will be in park attire and will have eaten at 'Ohana's the night before so that one's out. Thanks for your help! :)

We always refresh when going out but we have seen people in Citricos wearing park clothes.
If you were going to do that I would take the boat as the monorail will take forever to loop around.

Citrico's is one of our must do restaurants.

Steakhouse 71 would be our first choice. We have had several amazing meals there! Second is 1900 Park Fair. We have not been since it reopened from Covid a few months ago, but will in a few weeks.

My choices in order:
  1. Narcoossee
  2. Citrico
  3. Steakhouse 71
There is little to actually separate those three though.

If you want a signature meal, I would do Narcoosees or Cali Grill. If something more casual, I would do Steakhouse 71 or, if a boat is ok, head over to WL and go to Whispering Canyon.

Steakhouse 71 in CR is generally very good, and we’ve worn park clothes there several times.

Although Narcoossee's is the best meal on the loop these two are the right answer. SH71 for the win especially in park attire. And also best bang for buck.

Had a great meal at California Grill this year, but I understand if people find the "must order 3 things" menu annoying. I still think about that peanut butter dessert I had there sometimes.... it was amazing.

Grand Floridian Citricos
Contemporary California Grill or Steakhouse 71
Ohana at the Polynesian isnt what it used to be and is expensive, We do go to the Kona Cafe there for breakfast every trip

Narcoosee’s is a slam dunk

Somewhat depends on what your 'park attire' is - some people may go super-duper casual, even almost beachlike with crop tops, flip flops, stretch or workout shorts, men with boxers and a ripped t-shirt, etc...that will be tough at any of the 'signature' or nicer restaurants. If your park attire is regular bermuda shorts or skirt, button down top or nice blouse, and closed-toe shoes, then that's usually enough for even the nicer restaurants at Disney.

That cake looks great. It's really too bad that they didn't actually put chocolate in it.
Having eaten that cake twice, I have to say I don't miss actual chocolate. I adore this cake and I'm making a ressie here again for my Thanksgiving trip.
