recommendations for day trips with children?

We have done disney so many times but this time i am only buying disney and universal tickets due to cost. We have planned to visit GKTW for 1/2 day to visit my Sons star but at a loss to where else. Is the beach manageable in a day, if so which is closer? We loved staying at Treasure Island last year

I think Cocoa Beach is the nearest and it's doable in a day. We've also done Madeira Beach in a day, but it's a long drive.

Thank you, need lots of rest days and a day at the beach would be great just didnt really want to go as far as St Petes and back in one day. Not been to Cocoa Beach, visited the Ron Jons a few years ago

We go down to longboat key & Anna Maria Island as a day trip.

We like the gulf coast as the water is warmer.

It is a bit of a drive but it's worth it and we do it every trip.

What about KSC? That's a nice change of pace too.

KSC might be worth a revisit the new shuttle exhibit with Atlantis is amazing
