Recommendations for boarding the disney cruise from San Diego?

I am seeking recommendations for the best place to stay at the port of san Diego nearest to the cruise ship terminal. I'm taking my family on the 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise next May.
I would most prefer to be able to see our ship docking from our hotel room.

Check out the cruise board further down the boards. Lots of good info and posters experienced with all different ports.
