:wave2: We've dined here for breakfast before, and I've been thrilled with the breakfast buffet. We have reservations for dinner and was wondering what your favorite items at the dinner buffet are.

I absolutely love their salmon and their mushroom chicken asaigo cheese pasta is to die for. I found the recipe for that and make it at home. LOVE IT. Those two things really stand out for me.

A third vote for the salmon, it was excellent. I liked every salad I tried, loved the Key Lime Pie, DH loved the apple cobbler. The couscous was very good.

Fourth vote for the salmon. Also the mashed potatoes and all of the desserts.

My favorites are the blue cheese salad, the asiago and mushroom pasta with chicken and the slow cooked pork adobo. All the desserts are great too.
I can't wait to eat there again on 7/15 and get the rest of my extended family hooked on CP.

The Adobo Pork is AWESOME and the tropical slaw is a unique refresing take on cole slaw. Perfect after many hot hours in the park. However, I have yet to find a dessert there that I can recommend, but dont let that stop you, you will probably be too full for dessert anyway!

Oh, I third the Adobo Pork...TDF! Also loved the corn spoon bread...yummy! I remember the desserts being pretty good, too.

The corn spoon bread! And the salmon. And, well, pretty muck ALL of the desserts! :rotfl:
Enjoy! I will be there in September - I can't wait!

Is the corn spoon bread the same as the one at Hollywood and Vine? I ate SOOOO MUCH of that when I was there!

The adobo pork is the best and I love this pesto chicken pasta thing, to die for!

another vote for the Wild Mushroom and Chicken Pasta with Bail Asiago Cream Sauce...everything else seemed average.

I love this thread! We are having dinner at CP for the first time in October. The chicken caught my eye, so I am glad to see so many like it.

It's called Ancho Chile Rubbed Salmon. The recipe is on allearsnet.com. Its rubbed with ancho chile, brown sugar, canola oil. It's not overly spicy or overly sweet though.

I had the corn spoonbread at both Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine. I can't recall the one at Crystal Palace. I recall I liked both but the one at H&V made more of a positive impression. I think the recipe for the spoonbread from H&V is also on allearsnet.com - not sure, but I think it is.

:maleficen We have reservations at CP for 10-2 MNSSHP and I was woundering about the buffet, my niece is highly allergic to any seafood and it will send her straight to the ER  if she gets in contact. I'm now thinking that we should reconsider going to CP. Any thoughts? :confused3

They also have peel and eat shrimp at the buffet. Lots of the buffets have peel and eat shrimp. Have you checked the menus at allearsnet.com?

Yikes, I feel for your niece - has her family doctor given advice? Does she get medicine or an epi pen to carry with her? You might also talk to Disney dining. Maybe they can tell you what restaurants do not serve the fish that she is allergic to.

My brother is allergic to shellfish, other kinds of fish are ok. He can be around them but can't eat them.

Good luck

When we were there in June the Pork was not on the buffett. :confused3
