Recommendations for BEST Breakfast

Table Service: Kona at the Poly. The Pineapple-Macadamia Nut Pancakes and The Samoan (eggs benedict) or The Big Kahuna for someone with a hearty appetite. Tonga Toast is popular, but we found it too sweet and best when shared by several at the table.

Buffet: Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Some unique items with African flavors and spices as well as familiar breakfast foods. It's also a good opportunity to explore the resort before or after breakfast.

Based on reviews here and elsewhere we are excited to try The Wave for breakfast!

Also, we are doing Kona - which we've had before and was great. :)

I love Tusker House. IMO, it has the best buffet variety. Thumbs up for the carved ham station and oatmeal with mix-ins.

Another vote for Kona and Boma! We shared the Tonga Toast at our table, but I am all about those gingery breakfast sausages (also available at 'Ohana) and the French-pressed Kona coffee.

Early breakfast at Boma equals stunning morning views from the main lobby at AKL, plus a really good buffet.

In Park: Crystal Palace - I could care less about any thing else as long as I could enjoy the Pooh''s Puffed Toast
Resort: Kona Cafe. two words. Tonga Toast

I completely loved the breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine In when I went in 2015, but it appears that they don't have it anymore. :( I'd repeat that hands down.

I've yet to partake in the legend that is Tonga Toast so...maybe I'm missing out.

IMHO when it is just my wife and I Kona Cafe is very hard to beat. When we have our grandchildren with us we all enjoy Tusker House.

We were all about Tusker House Buffet until our most recent trip this past January when we found our new love for Breakfast. Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian started a breakfast/brunch that was amazing. Heads up it's not the cheapest and I think they only do it on Sunday's but we were in love and plan on doing that on our next trip later this year (assuming it is still an option). I forget the cost but it was X amount of dollars per person and it included appetizer plate of mixed pastries (they were great), then a meal you got to choose from a small menu ( I had steak and eggs that were perfect to start the day), and then a small dessert type of plate. It also included alcoholic beverages if you so desire - I had the bloody mary which was incredible but those were not free for refills although you could have as many mimosa's as you wanted.
