recommendations for a TA please

Our last trip, I booked everthing myself and did well with getting discounts ($129. for WL woodsview). For our next trip, I want to book a vacation package (I think the dining option is a great deal, plus with the MYW tickets, we'll get 8 days for the price of what I paid for 5-day hoppers in 12/04). Anyway, I'm thinking that I'll get the best rate through a travel agent who can also roll in our flights, etc.

I'd love recommendations both for specific TAs and for info. about the ins and outs of using a TA.

There are many good ta's out there. Find one that has graduated from the College of disney knowledge and traveled herself. compare "value added" services and you should fine one you will be very happy with!

We used Dreams Unlimited and really liked it. They respond super fast and you are assigned your own travel consultant once you book. I had Rhonda (who is awesome, by the way), and she took care of all my requests, booked all my ADR's, and answered all my silly questions.

I'd recommend Deb (deb@themagicforless.com) at the Magic for Less Travel. She has been great helping us plan our 2006 trip and was a great help planning and then cancelling a trip we ended up not being able to take. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about all things Disney.

i don't know enough positive adjectives to praise the TA we've been using... lori at www.magicalmemoriestravel.com she's great! saved us a bundle! wonderful attention to detail! willing to go the extra mile or two! shall i go on?! LOL!

I would recommend Magical Memories Travel as well. The last time somone posted a thread requesting recommendations on a TA I requested quotes from about 4 different places and I was most impressed with them. Some took too long to respnd, some gave me these curt, clipped responses that made me feel like my request that included questions was a waste of their time and some gave me a polite quote but it was just a "Thanks for contacting us. The total for your your dates and resort choices would be $______." I got a detailed response from Magical Memories. I had also heard from my agent there at least twice before I heard from most of the other places.

I'm booking my first trip ever with them and couldn't be more pleased! Super friendly, knowledgeable, great prices, and always quick to respond (even when I send e-mails at 11pm, I've always gotten a response almost immediately - wow!)

I've used Dreams Unlimited as well and found the agents to be knowledgeable and friendly. I don't know if they do air.

If you have AAA (or are considering getting it), they have discounted packages. I spoke with an agent the other day and she seemed to know a lot. She also called me back promptly. PM me and I can send you her info. No extra fees and the same cancellation policies as Disney.

Another Magical Memories fan! We have a great rate for December at WL and just booked for October with them aswell! Amazing detail, very fast, courteous... I can't say enought positive things about them ~ highly recommend them!

Count me in for Magical Memories Travel as well! I've booked my last couple of trips through them. I've worked with Lori and with Dawn and both were wonderful to deal with. They were both easily reachable by phone and email, really knowlegable, very nice and professional too. They haven't missed scorring us a discount yet and even got us a reservation for a party of 16 at CRT on our first choice date! I couldn't be happier with them!

Love Sue Ellen with Dreams Unlimited. She handles everything for me now, but doesn't get upset if I book on my own, which I like. a lot of times it's easier for me to book a PS myself, even though she will happily book all of them for me. She also keeps me posted on available codes and watches for discounts too.

yes, i most certainly did... i was convinced i would work w/the agent that would give me the best deal... i received quotes from more than one AAA agent ('cause my local one was less than helpful and knew less about wdw than my 8yo son!)... my decision was eventually based on the caliber of the service... my magical memories agent went above and beyond in answering my questions each and every time... another agent would respond with answers like "the price has not changed since the last time you asked" yet my request had different components (i.e. different length of stay, different resort, etc)...

just a glimpse into the amazing service magical memories is providing... when we made all our ADRs, it was imperative that we alert the restaurants to my ds' tree nut/peanut allergies... each ADR requires that we call the restaurant 3 to 7 days prior to eating there... well, our trip is 11 days long, which means i was expecting to be making a lot of restaurant calls each night of my vacation, only to have my agent (lori) ask if i would like her to make those calls for me each day so as not to distract from my vacation! how great is that?! i was totally bowled over! service does not get better than that!

We're using Sue Ellen with Dreams Unlimited for our upcoming trip. She's been great...she booked all of our dining reservations and answers emails promptly. I've made several changes and she's been very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend her!
