DH, DD17 and I are planning a long weekend trip to Toronto in November. We're Michiganders, so we understand the weather situation. We've been to Toronto a few times and always fine neat things to do and see, but I was wondering what recommendations natives have for us? (I'd love to be going to WDW for a long weekend instead, but Toronto will do!)

We're staying right in the city at the Courtyard on Younge. Would love to not drive our car at all during the stay.

Thanks for any help!

Well they just reduced the admission price at the ROM, so that's the thing I'm most excited about in Toronto right now. Not sure if you've been there yet, but it's a pretty cool place.

Second the ROM.
You may want to check out the PATH...underground shopping, it goes for miles.
There's the CN Tower, but it's really pricey and let's face it, if you've been up high once, it's not such of a much.
I've been through Casa Loma twice and enjoyed it immensely.
Are you hockey fans? The Hockey Hall of Fame is a must see if so.
There's a vibrant theater scene, if the play's your thing. And anything else I can think of is more summer-y...

We don't live in Toronto, but we visit as often as possible. The ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) is a great place to visit, also the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario). There is some good theatre as well--you might want to visit mirvish.com to check out some of the offerings. Although I must say that tickets to live theatre can be pricy.
One of the things I really like about Toronto is the public transportation, you should be able to get around easily without your car.
You should be aware that some parts of Younge St. right downtown can be a bit seedy.

Thank you all! I very much appreciate the suggestions. ROM is definitely on the list for this trip.

I just wanted to add that I just took a friend of mine on a dinner cruise. But the best part was filling in time for about 3 hours. We walked up and down the beachfront, there's some really lovely areas to sit by the water and shopping etc... We had a wonderful time exploring an area of T.O. we never have before!
