Hi. We are flying in to SFB on 12/22, landing around 9pm. We are picking up other family members the next morning at MCO around 10am and making our way to SSR. Looking for recommendations for a nice, reasonably priced hotel for the evening of 12/22. We will have a rental car. TIA :thumbsup2

I would land, get your rental car and get a room near MCO. That way you won't have to get up early in the AM and fight with traffic.

I have stayed at Springhill Suites and it was fine, but there are many suite-type hotels over there, so take your pick.

Then get up, eat a free breakfast, and they pickup your family.

Steer clear of Woodspring Suites on Hickman Drive in Sanford. We booked it for one night before our 6am flight back home. The website looked fine but after checking in and walking in the room I looked at my husband and said that we were leaving. The girl at the front desk refunded the charge with no questions asked. I was uncomfortable with the characters I saw in the hallways, it wasn't very clean and I felt dirty just standing there. We went across the street and got a room at the Comfort Inn. Very clean and I slept great. I would agree with the previous poster though and suggest heading closer to MCO and getting a room in that direction. Alot more choices. Most of the "decent" hotels in Sanford are actually further north away from Sanford Airport so your more out of your way for the next days drive.

Agreed that it makes sense to go over near MCO for that first night. We got a good rate at the Embassy Suites the night before an early flight, and have no complaints. I think you’ll have more to choose from near MCO, and will make your morning less hectic.
