Recommendation for hotel near San Jose airport

Considering flying out of San Jose airport. First time. Would have to stay at a nearby hotel the night before. Any recommendations for a good place to stay? Prefer a park and fly package so we can leave our car there for the duration of our trip. Doesn't have to be lavish...just really close to the airport, safe and clean.

I've heard many good things about the Courtyard San Jose Airport. There's also a Fairfield Inn and Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and a DoubleTree all very close to the airport. I attended a conference at the Fairfield (I think that was the one?) but I haven't stayed in any of the rooms so I can't speak to what those are like. I'm afraid I don't know about any park & fly packages for the hotels.

Since we live in San Jose, if we need to park our car during our trip we use the Economy Lot at the airport for $15/day. You take a shuttle from the Econo Lot to the terminals, but the shuttles run very often, and we've found it to be convenient. We've also used Easy Park & Fly and they're cheaper, but a little farther and a little more hassle.

I work in the area and on occasion have stayed overnight. Once I stayed at the San Jose Airport Garden Hotel (a former Holiday Inn) the night before a job interview. It was fine although it was rather warm and I had difficulty sleeping with the A/C fan on. I got it by bidding on Priceline, but they also have airport parking packages. You could take the shuttle or possibly take VTA light rail to the Metro/Airport station and then VTA route 10 (the free airport bus).

Other than that, maybe the Hilton Santa Clara, although I can't find any airport parking packages. I've stayed there before, and the parking lot is pretty small.
